Creatures games blowout on GOG.com! We're giving you not one, not two, but three game packs: Creatures: Albian Years, Creatures Exodus and Creatures Village, with 6 games in total!
The first two packs include the core titles of the [url=http://www.gog.com/en/search/sort/search/creatures]series - Creatures 1, and [url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/creatures_exodus]3, plus the online Docking Station. These can't really be called games, but artificial life simulators. In these titles you create a group of cute, furry creatures called Norns, each with its own complex biochemistry, DNA and capable of evolving. You can (and should) teach them to talk, perform certain actions, feed and protect themselves, but they can also learn themselves through trial and error. By breeding certain Norns with others some genetic traits can be passed down to the next generations, creating interesting, sometimes weird, new breeds. Creatures Village, on the other hand, is a simplified spinoff of the series, aimed towards children and focused on the task of raising a small group of Norns. Creating virtual life and tailoring it as you see fit is a fascinating challenge - why don't you give it a try?
WOW! WOW! WOW! :) I love this... game? :) WOW! :)
How odd, I was reading about this series just yesterday. GOG can see into my mind?!
Never played them, but I'm interested in picking one up to give it a try. Should I go for the Albian Years or skip to Exodus?

At $9.99 each I'll wait a little while, though they do seem pretty interesting.

All those addons (like Object Packs and etc.) are included in our versions of the games so you don't have to download it :)

yeah. new function. there was news about it few months ago... cannot find the link. Basically, gog hired some ex-soviet scientist, Yuri something to work on the website. We got sanitarium because of that so i am happy.
I might get the game. wanted to check it out... but now i am poor so no monies from me. sorry.
So, it's basically The Sims: Little Furry Aliens?

What's not to love?
I will probably end up buying one of those for my girlfriend... and then playing it myself.

Trust me, it's way better than The Sims.
Thanks GOG, I had the old Creatures but lost the CD. Now my little brother can finally have an (almost?) educational game to occupy himself.
Sounds interesting. Not been a big fan of the Sims but then again, we're now talking alien creatures and not mere human beings, so I may have to give this a try.
I'm now definitely broke. Just got the Exodus Pack. T___T Gog is stealing mah money ! (With my approbation though)
These games inspired me to study cognitive science :)
Have a look at http://aigamedev.com/open/highlights/creatures-ai/ for a little background info.
