The UK and France are socialist countries?
They may well disagree with you...

Any chance of a Socialism Plus?"
Yes actually. It's a great little game where you start out poor, end up giving anything you earn to the government who gives nothing back. The game ends when you try to do something besides give your money to the government and you get taken out and shot.
I seriously hope that post was a joke and you don't think that socialism really works....

Well yes, it was a joke, but Socialism is not Communism, and all the examples of communism I can think of are just totalitarianism with a bit of red paint.
Sweden is probably one of the most notable examples of a socialist government, as is France, and to a certain extent, the UK.
Many of the problems with the UK currently are due to extremes of Capitalism, so go figure.
I'll leave you to go and search for "reds under the bed"...
Well, France and the UK are being overrun by Muslims as a direct result of their socialist/liberal policies. Sweeden produces nothing of value to the world. And most of the other socialist/communist countries are third world poverty ridden hellholes. So I'll take captialism where you have a small number of poor people, a large number of middle class and a very small number of rich people who all have the freedom to live their lives the way they want over having the government decide how my life should be run.
And if you think there's some huge difference between communism and socialism think again, the difference is only on paper. In practice they're both oppressive and dictatorial in nature.
Oh come on people, can we put this intense sociological debate in a more appropriate forum?

I Agree entirely, It is painfully amateurish, and should be conducted elsewhere, or preferably not at all.

This is the stupidest post I've read in ages. Why don't you just admit that you don't have a clue and shut up.

Can't be bothered to go into it here... though almost all of western europe has been (to one degree or another) socialist for the last 100 years or so. And i'd say that whole pesky French Revolution that set the seeds of democracy in europe looked decidedly socialist to me..
Ahem... back to the game..
[edited to take out the stuff that might take us off topic.] though i do still feel a bit sorry for poor sweden.... IKEA, Electrolux, Starbreeze Studios, Saab...

[url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/capitalism_plus]Capitalism Plus is an enhanced version of Capitalism, the acclaimed economical simulator. The game lets you create a company anywhere in the world and get a glimpse of what it's like to start and run a global business. You can choose from various sectors, like retail, R&D or production and, as your business prospers, you can create a conglomerate encompassing many of these sectors. Depending on the type of business you need to take into account marketing, research, land price, demand... And of course what your competitors are up to. Try your mettle on the global market, no risk involved.

Go pre-2000 games! Nice work GoG.
Sweet. This is one of the best games I've ever played!
Well worth it for anyone who wants to enjoy a strategy game that dares to innovate.
