If you've already finished BloodRayne and are still hungry for the blood of mortals, you're in luck - the second part of the series has just hit our catalog.
Like its predecessor, BloodRayne 2 is a third-person action-adventure game in which you play the role of Rayne, a half-vampire working for the Brimstone Society - an organization whose goal is to rid the world of vampires. While the game is very action-oriented, the storyline is much more complex and plays a more vital role than in the original BloodRayne. Furthermore, BloodRayne 2 offers greatly improved visuals, impressive CG cutscenes, an even more sexy-looking vampire vixen as the protagonist (supplemented by the many outfits you can unlock) and new, much more spectacular, moves and methods of dispatching your foes.
I am looking forward to playing this!
I'll be picking this up and the first one during the Voluptuous Vampire Vixen deal. Whenever that will be =).

Because no one would download that :D
Yay! Fun game, although I already own it. I like the first a little better, but others prefer the second. If you enjoy one, try the other as well.

From the immortal Tom Chick, courtesy Qt3:
"The first BloodRayne was about tits and blood, with Nazis thrown in for good measure. BloodRayne 2 is missing the Nazis, but the good news is that BloodRayne 2 is about a bit more than the tits and blood (Playboy pictorials notwithstanding). The tits are pretty silly -- what kind of combat vampire is going to get implants like that? --and the blood is over-the-top splatterwork that's more goofy than gory. But the fights have a sand-box quality, where you have a bunch of bad guys and your choice of about a dozen ways to graphically eviscerate them. You also get some pretty nifty combat powers ramping up over the course of the game. Beyond that, there's a lot of Prince of Persia in here, right down to the polework.
The tech has a disappointing low-rent feel (i.e. there's a Playstation 2 version pulling them all down). The difficulty level will require a lot of replaying between save points, with early evidence of bad save point placement. For instance, you fight about twenty guys right before a boss battle, at which point you'll get killed by the boss and have to go back to fighting those twenty guys again before you get back to the boss. Also, the bosses I've seen are all about just getting in your face and hitting you so fast and hard you have no idea what's going on until you're dead. But when it's not frustrating, BloodRayne 2 is a passable combo of blood, tits, and action. In other words, a fitting game for the 13-year-old boy in us all."
Thanks, Tom!
Just bought it, finally have both.Tom Chick is right on the money here.
...though he is still wrong about Deus Ex.
