With the release of Blake Stone: Planet Strike we're completing the collection of great shooter games from Apogee's catalogue.
Blake Stone: Planet Strike is a first person shooter and the sequel to Blake Stone: Aliens of Gold. The game features new weapons, graphical upgrades and, of course, new levels. The story picks up where the prequel left off - you play as Blake Stone, agent of the British Intelligence. After the evil Doctor Pyrus Goldfire escapes, the agency starts a thorough search for him. When they finally located him, it was in an abandoned training facility, where Goldfire was busy amassing an army even larger than before. Its sole purpose - to conquer Earth. Blake is sent on a mission with a sole purpose of his own - to terminate Doctor Goldfire.
wow I remember this one, you actually got to kill Dr Goldfire in this one, not just fight him!

Not much point in spoiling it, the annoucement says, "Blake is sent on a mission with a sole purpose of his own - to terminate Doctor Goldfire."
Why does the Blake Stone on this cover have lighter hair than on the other game? That always confused me when I was little.

Someone clearly wasn't paying attention. Which is kind of strange when the armour is fairly close to the original.
according to Joe Siegler at the 3DRealms website, the cover art wasn't done by them, it was done by the retail distributor FormGen. They added a woman to the front cover to entice the young males to buy the game, even when there was no woman in sight in the game!
And yeah, its not spoiling the game when its in the description hehe. I was merely remembering that when I first bought the original game after having played the shareware, I was disappointed that you dont get to face off with Goldfire at the end, because that priveledge was reserved for Planet Strike.
