I was one of the few who bought this (great) game the first time around on PC, and still have it, but I'm glad to see it here.
Anyone who hasn't played it yet should make it their next GOG purchase.
Absolutely amazing game, but $10 may be a bit too much for it considering you can get it for free with cheese now. Not that it isn't worth the price or anything... It certainly is, but if it were $6 I probably would've re-bought it for the sake of convenience (i.e., not having to dig through my stack of PC games to play it again).
Definitely get it if you like action/adventures and stealth games, though. I guess this is considered a console game, but the controls work incredibly well on PC (much more so than Sands of Time IMO). Despite being mainly a console gamer, WASD + mouse is actually my preferred way of playing it.
So let's see... I own BG&E for GameCube, PS2, Steam and PC-CD-ROM(4 Disc Installation!).
Well...hmm... Is this a good game? I wonder... </sarcasm>
For the music alone, this game is just breath taking and full of Heart.
GOG.com just got a whole lot more epic. Definitely getting this with my next paycheck.
Just installed the GOG version, probably under the harshest possible conditions:
Windows 7 beta(64-bit, and with DEP enabled for everything, which caused trouble last time I played it) - and it works. There's some weird graphics flickering which I'll have to troubleshoot later, but the sound is in sync, everything is running smoothly.
Oh, and it *is* multilanguage. At least I was offered a choice of 5-6 languages when launching it.
Kick-ass. And definitely worth the $10 even though I already had the retail version. :)

Hot diggity damn!
I almost want to buy this even though I have the original discs, just because of the awesomeness of not having to feed the computer 3 discs to install, and then finding a crack to not having to feed it the discs again to play.
Oh well, the paypal account's almost empty, maybe later.

fix-cz: Did you fixed bad (slow or fast) sound synchro in cutscenes when you run this game on PC with dual-core processor? I have this game from Steam and on DVD but I can't enjoy it because of that.

LLJKTechnogeek: Turn off HW Vertex Processing in SettingsApplication.exe -- that should fix it.

Thanks for asking, and replying. I've been BGE-less for quite a while due to it being unplayable on open water.
I bought this on Steam but I couldn't even get it to launch. I've read about numerous problems with the PC port of this game including slowdown, sound not synced right and the game not opening at all. Needless to say I was extremely dissapointed. All the fixes for BG&E were too complicated for me, so I wasted $10 on a game that I will never get to work.
Now that GOG is getting this will we be getting a version that actually WORKS? Because BG&E is one of my favorite games of all time and I'd gladly buy it again if I could just PLAY the thing.
I would so buy this if I didn't already own the Gamecube version (which still works on my Wii).

StingingVelvet: Last I remember this game has some graphics corruption on Vista, though it might be easily fixed with a compatability mode or something, I don't think I ever looked into it.

Remember, this is GOG. Steam doesn't compatibility-check their stuff with Vista, but GOG does :)
Minor update: Disabling HW Vertex Processing in the launcher fixed my graphics flickering. Which means that the game now runs flawlessly.
Multi-language, sound in sync, delicious maxed-out graphics and everything. (Of course I can't guarantee that it'll work for everyone, but I'm pleasantly surprised, as I've had trouble with the retail version before)
THIS and Psychonauts are the best 3D platformers-adventure games ever.
can anyone tell me if this is the patched version or vanilla? I remember there being a gamebreaking bug in the patched version when I played it years ago.
Thanks and thank you gog for releasing this gem.
I love this game, a lot.

Thanks and thank you gog for releasing this gem.

There were several bugs that only surfaced occasionally, on some systems, with or without patch. For most people, the patched version worked just fine though. And so far, I've had no problems in the GoG version either.
Damnit if only I hadn't bought this from steam already D:
