Free stuff this way! A considerable amount of added value has just hit Betrayal at Krondor, which from now on will be known as the Betrayal at Krondor pack and will include Betrayal in Antara, at no extra cost.

Betrayal in Antara is a role-playing game that uses an updated version of Krondor's engine. It isn't a sequel, however, as its story couldn't be set in Raymond E. Feist’s world of Midkemia, but in a complex, well-designed world of Ramar, created just for this game. The interface and mechanics, the familiar combat system in particular, are pretty much the same, which means they're very good. Finally, there are many memorable characters in this game, the story is complicated, in a good way, and keeps getting better as you go along. Overall, a solid, oldschool RPG that is definitely worth a try. Also, it's added to the Betrayal at Krondor for free!

Gift already redeemd, but you are amazing! Every week you give us a free game thank you so much! ( i'll grab one me too one day :D )
Thanks, thewishingwell. I have never played this game nor was I interested in it but as soon as I saw that code, I had to redeem it. :)
Gotta love that wishing well. I'm surprised his reputation isn't in the quadruple digit range by now, though; he's certainly been generous enough.

I hope that haigjoiejgf has as much fun playing Betrayal at Krondor and Betrayal in Antara as I and many others have! In fact, the same applies to everyone who's playing those games for their first time.

OK.
Nice release but come on GOG, give us Baldur's Gate 2 already! You know that's what everyone wants, and that there are people, including myself, who are holding off on playing Baldur's Gate until we can get BG2 and play it with one of the mods that lets you play it in the BG2 engine!
Amazing! The interface was perfect. and BiA is a great great game.. and tho I owm it I can now play it again cdless ;) .. thanks very much ! great way to start my day ;) The weirdest thing is that last night I was looking at the CD on the shelf thinking I should replay that soon..true story
thank you gog.

I'm pleasantly surprised by all the appreciation for BiA on this thread. It was greeted with pretty poor reviews when it was released, and it certainly has its weak points: some groan-worthy dialogue, characters that are kind of a rip-off of Star Wars, etc. But I think it has plenty of good aspects to outweigh the bad. For instance, this is one of the few RPGs I've played in which the characters developed genuine relationships with each other and became like a family. I also liked the simple, storybook graphics, especially when compared to the primitive and ugly 3D of Return to Krondor.

Now I can relive all the adventures, combats, and puzzle chests that I first explored when I was 12, all thanks to GOG. I just have to figure out how to download it. There doesn't seem to be a separate download for BiA on the Betrayal at Krondor page . . .
Thanks guys. This is a pleasant surprise.

I think you may just have to re-download the main file. I noticed that file size on my PC is quite a bit smaller than the file linked to my account page.

Okay, elephant in the room. Is this being release instead of BG2 this week. If so, shame shame. If they are trying to cram more games in before to do some add-on sales... don't worry guys! I have 3 games already lined up that I'm going to buy as soon as BG2 comes out!
