With four games and a bunch of additional content for each one, today's release of Battle Isle Platinum is one of the largest in GOG's history.

Battle Isle Platinum covers a huge chunk of the acclaimed turn-based strategy/tactics series and consists of:
- Battle Isle 1 including Data Disk 1 & Battle Isle ‘93 & Historyline: 1914-1918,
- Battle Isle 2 including Scenery CD “Titan’s Legacy”,
- Battle Isle 3 along with extensive video sequences,
- Incubation and the wilderness missions.
That's easily enough to keep your inner strategist busy for weeks, or months if you work for a living!

So, what is this series about, you ask? It's about strategy and tactics at their very finest. It's about using the units at your disposal to the best of your ability in order to achieve specific goals, rather than building an impenetrable fortress, preparing a massive zerg and spamming your enemy with it, rinse, repeat. Lastly, but perhaps most importantly, the Battle Isle series is about a deep, involving storyline with a huge backstory, both in-game and in "feelies". The latter are, of course, available with our release in digital form.

Go ahead and see for yourself why this series achieved cult classic status.

Gamerlord: Thank you.

Mnemon: To make really sure - Battle Isle 2 / 3 have hotseat multiplayer. In the earlier games Battle Isle 1 / Historyline it's split screen with one side having their "production" round, while the other moves and attacks. Later Battle Isle's went with proper turns - you do both production and movement / orders on your turn, then all other players in the game have theirs.
Thanks, I already knew that though.
I think the package description should be:
-Incubation and The Wilderness Missions.

The Wilderness Missions is an official, full name of Incubation's expansion. Therefore, it completely deserves initcap, just as e.g. Heroes III and The Shadow of Death (and not Heroes III and the shadow of death).

Similar thing with History Line - full name is History Line: 1914-1918 (or, in case of USA, Great War: 1914-1918), and not Historyline: 1914-1918.

Very cool release by the way, really worth the full price tag. I already own Incubation and The Andosia War, but newer really happened to play initial titles nor The Wilderness Missions, all of which look pretty cool.

WOW,....fantastic release, GoG!!!
Logged in, saw the new release,...and instantly bought it!

To be honest, I would have had spent the 10 Dollars even for "Incubation" alone.

But in the package with all the other Battle Isles, it`s an unbeatable offer.
This is uncanny. I had just been thinking about Incubation (and, particularly, the soundtrack) a few days ago...

Ok, GOG, what am I thinking of... NOW?! :P
*faints*

Would be instabuy no questions asked had I not payed the bills yesterday and be almost broke :-p. Dang.

Will definately buy it as soon as I can affort it.

Yeah, considering the fact that it's a classic on its own, with really good production values (much better than in the first Battle Isle-game), GOG should definitely promote it as a full title. The way it's presented actually makes the pack look smaller than it really is, which can't be the intended effect. :-)

Fully agreed. History Line is a completely different, stand-alone game, that only makes use of the original Battle Isle '93 engine. I guess it should also be mentioned on the list independently :)
Id heard good things about this but i dont think id like it, Sorry GOG ill let this one pass, maybe pick it up down the line if i change my mind
omfg what a release i loved Battle isle 3 even the music video in it and incubation all these for $10 fantastic an instant buy for me.

Great release. It's worth getting for Incubation alone. I haven't played the other Battle Isle games much, but I've heard good things about them.

History Line was added to the original boxed version of this bundle as a secret bonus. It's neither mentioned in the manual nor on the box. In fact, Blue Byte's boss didn't know about it, and he was not amused when he found out! :D
Purchased!

I remember two things about the Battle Isle series... Incubation (which I love... and it's good to see I'm not alone!)

... and this.

Which it's also good to see I'm not alone in remembering, because for a couple of years I was worried that music video was just a figment of my imagination.

Blue Byte were one of those rare publishers that had a knack for turning out classics, and I miss most of their games. I remember Settlers II, Archimedean Dynasty, Incubation, BI3, Albion and Dr Dragos Madcap Chase all really fondly.

IMPRESSED.
Incubation! Awesomeness! I loved that one back in the day but it didn't take much for it to start running far too fast to be playable.
