just one question:
soundtrack?

http://terra-arcanum.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=15289
Hopefully GoG can get it up on here...
wav: http://www.terra-arcanum.com/downloads/arcanum/Arcanum_OST_Lossless.exe
mp3: http://www.terra-arcanum.com/downloads/arcanum/HQ_Music_MP3.exe
they can be used in game as well...
I'm going to buy this for myself as a one day late birthday present.
I have heard great things about this, and I've always wanted to try it.
I am so excited about this!
I will definitely be downloading this soon. Arcanum was my favorite RPG for a long time (and possibly still is), I think I first played it when I was about 10 or 11, when it first came out, and it captured me and really still hasn't let go.
I am so glad that GOG picked it up and added it to their game list! :D

happy Belated Bday - this is my bday pressie too ;)
Just got home...
Purchased!
Reading all the comments in this thread I'm starting to have a bad feeling. I always thought that Arcanum was mediocre RPG game, at least thats the impression that has lasted in my mind since release and now it looks like I've been missing something great. ><
Well now I can play it myself and see if I was wrong. I got one other Troika game in my shelf. ToEE to be exact. For some reason I've never played it even though I bought it on release day... no idea why. Guess it is high time to actually play that too. :P

Troika released some great games in my view. They were hampered by lack of Publisher Support and some early release bugs. Arcanum and TOEE are two of my favorite games. They got bad press at release but I tend to overlook that and see for myself. Especially RPG's. Both of these still load from cd and play fine for me on vista so I will most likely not buy Arcanum but you never know.
bought... will play after my mass effect binge

ToEE is an awesome D&D game. The combat system is great and I wish they would have made more rpgs with it. It's one of the nicest looking D&D games as well the models and atmosphere feel great.
Just make sure that game is patched to hell with the Circle of Eight fan patches and it will be a mostly bug free experience.
I ran into one game ending bug about 75% through. but that was like 2 years ago so newer patches most likely fixed it.
Holy hell I always wanted this game.

Haha, same. I got so many games to play thanks to steam's holiday sale.
Arcanum's so underrated, it ain't even funny.
And thanks to Drog, a great game has been even more fixed-up - and then some!
I also can't stress enough how great Arcanum's soundtrack is.
If you missed Arcanum, here's your chance to play a great cult-classic CRPG.

Since GOG does have Activision on-board now, I hope they also can bring Vampire: Bloodlines here for all those who missed what is yet another great Troika Game.

They just need to get permission from White Wolf/CCP as well, since the game world is licensed from them.

That'd be cool. I still got my retail copy, sitting on the shelf. Often, when Halloween rolls around, Vampire: BL winds up installed back on my PC.
Oh yeah - is CCP still going to do that World of Darkness MMO?
Just in case anyone's interested, all the sheet music for the soundtrack (string quartet parts mostly), is available from the composer's website.
