I recall hunting fanatically for it a few years back. Eventually my dad paid 80$ for a "best of" version on eBay... I probably put some eighty hours into finishing that game, even though it's a quite flawed game.
Ironically I found a "best of" copy in a local disc store for 10$ just a few months back.
It definitely belongs on GOG, though.

Just a reminder: regardless of the name of this game - which includes the word "Steamworks" - all gamers can play it without installing that nasty DRM client called Steam ;)
And congratulations to GOG.com. Activision is big hit!

Great addition to the catalog here! Sad that Troika won't get its share of the sales since... erh... well, it doesn't exist anymore. But it's nie to know some new players will have the opportunity to give it a try. Arcanum is a masterpiece. But remember to download all fan patches. They'll make your experience fairly better.

Ha, well I put it into my shopping cart and the page took 5+ seconds to update so I guess the servers are probably swamped. I'll get it in a few days after the rush dies down. It's not like I don't have enough stuff to play from the holiday sale.
Thanks for bringing this game to us. I have been wanting to play it for a while but was not looking forward to trying to make it run under XP and gathering all the patches etc. You guys have done all that for us, and at a much lower price tag than buying a used retail copy!
