I'd recommend waiting for a 50% off deal.
Looking around in bargainbins, you can probably easilly find the original game for less than 9.99.

There is also a goty box with Syberia1+Syberia2+ Amazone for 20 bucks here on Europe. I don't really think 9,99 is really worth despite the promising gameplay experience.

Not sure about the $9.99 price point, but I don't think adventure fans would regret buying it anyway. I'm pretty sure I finished it in one evening's play (the puzzles are extremely easy), but I really enjoyed the experience. Most of the game really looks beautiful, and most of the enjoyment comes from wandering around and having a look at everything.
I do remember the ending as a bit of a let down.

It should read "...get a chance..." instead of "...get a change," and "...now closed-off world" instead of "now-closed off world."

Amerzone is pretty good, and right up my alley as i tend to prefer 1st person in adventures relying mostly or solely on lonely exploration. Actually been waiting for it to land here.
Wishlisted till the end of this week, which will be whishlish clearing time ;)

Catshade: Early release? That's unusual....but at least now we can expect games from a certain publisher this Thursday. >_>

I had this nightmare last night where the upcoming games list was suddenly filled with already released games (ground control, haegemonia, etc.) under the pretense of a win7 compatible re-release.
And after that the list was filled with entries consisting only of a genre and a publisher.

Well i had a dream last night that my wife made me start a new sport called deep-sea-scuba-diving-noodling, and Jason from HBO's Tru Blood was my mentor...
it was weird.
