It's here! An absolute legend, the grandfather of all survival horrors, and based on the works of H.P. Lovecraft - Alone in the Dark - bundled together with the rest of the original trilogy!

Alone in the Dark is a survival horror game released back in 1992, and one of the first games to use 3D models over prerendered backgrounds. This may not sound too fancy now, but when you see the vivid facial expressions on characters using almost two decades-old technology, you'll see that this game is simply a work of art. But there's a lot more to it than that.
Overall, the game's presentation is simply amazing, and this goes for the entire trilogy as well. Each gripping story comes accompanied by top-notch voice acting, fantastic mood-setting music and an immersive cinematic atmosphere. After playing this release, you'll wish all games were this well-designed.
And, finally, the horror part presents the perfect mix of bone-chilling suspense and sudden, heart-pounding terror.
So that's three legendary games for a mere $5.99. What are you waiting for? Are you scared or something?
You know, for a while I was kind of underwhelmed by the new releases on GoG. And then I saw that you released XIII, Realms of the Haunting, and this, and I went "AWWWWWWWWW MOTHER FUCKING YEAAAAAAAH".
GOG should give the original covers with the games.

I'm practically buying all the new games you have released in the last weeks. Thanks for keeping the dream alive!

P.S.: It sounds a little bit, doesn't it? Ah!, who cares, I love gog!

Doors locked, lights down, in for a scary night! Thanks GOG.
Thank you GOG! I was one of those who complained about your Alone in the dark 4 release. Now this is perfect. And cheap!

Thanks again!
Awesome! One of the games that's, in my opinion, near the top of one of the best games of their respective times ever made.

THANKS!

Edit: by that I'm obviously referring to the first one in the trilogy.

Oh, a game I've wanted to play for a long time. I don't have the money currently, but definitely wishlisted.
Never played them despite having a CD pack of all 3 I bought on special. Yep I'll buy here and add to my digital archives.
UN-BE-LIEVEBLE

now this is an insta buy.

all hail GoG
Well this games are something i bought here just as soon as i laid my eyes on them...i adore the first one especially- have been reading all the in game books - no matter how many times i played this game - unmistakeable HPL feeling- which latter installments sadly lost...but thank you very much gog- hope more infogrames titles are about to appear...would like to see North & South - maybe as a add on - based on superb french comic books - les tuniques bleuies - of which there are couple of english translations - belive 4 or 5 out of 50+ titles

Love Alone in the Dark games, played old demos of them back on some old Mac computers, would love to play the whole version of each of them finally.

So fuck yeah!
You can always try looking at www.replacementdocs.com for any extras missing from the gog.com release :)

tejozaszaszas: GOG should give the original covers with the games.
In my own observations, I find that GOG usually go with the cover of the release that their copy is based on.

Which, for the best value, is usually some bundle release that the publisher has put out further down the line.

For the sake of getting Alone in the Dark 2 and 3 as bundled extras, I'll live with it. Especially since I'm not entirely sure that I'd WANT to pay for Alone in the Dark 2 & 3... I'm curious about them, but AitD 1 is "the money shot".

Exactly. The first one was a true gem, a real Lovecraft adventure. The second one was good but quite different and difficult (zombies with thompsons ? really ?). I played the third one but never finished it.

I'll think also about buying the fourth game during a sale as I bought it years ago but resold it (it was okay but Carnby was a completely different person).
This was an instant buy.
Playing the first game last night reminded my of ,even with the clumsy controls, what a good game it was.
BTW, if you have not seen the movie version, do yourself a favor and DON"T. Sometimes movies are not as bad as their reputation has it, but this one is. It is the one that confirmed Uwe Boll reputation as one of the world;s worst directors.
