It's a lovely idea but AFAIK you are perfectly allowed to talk about companies. In the Football world if you want to sign a player you talk about them, it's called tapping up (*cough* Harry Redknapp). It's frowned upon but it's perfectly legal. GOG could simply be doing a Redknapp and saying "Yeah I fancy that lad Microsoft, he could do a job for us but he's not our player so we shouldn't be talking about him".

That's why getting EA or LucasArts would probably be better for me, because I can think of a few more games from them...Yet, I must admit I like Freelancer the best. So I'll probably squee for any of them ;p

Not gonna happen. Even if, hypothetically, they had already signed all the publishers, they wouldn't waste the marketing opportunities and give them to us all at the same time. I believe they would repeat this same hyping strategy multiple times and spread out the releases over a relatively long period of time to prevent oversaturation and to keep interest levels high.

In the sense that they have a single game on Steam. The first PC game they've published since abandoning PC games in 2007.

And that's bad WHY? I mean besides not getting all the games at once, it wouldn't be that bad actually.

1. Names, sure they can use them for pretty much anything they want, as long as they aren't committing slander; logos, possibly not, but most of them are registered trademarks associated with those names, so their has to be some kind of usage loophole that allows the name and logo to be used together in a non-commercial and non-slanderous way; the same way you can use the Microsoft name and logo in a parody, for example.

3. Any one of the mentioned publishers could easily have 25 old games to release over three months
4. Again, any one of those publishers would be the biggest announcement they have ever made; each of them has been fighting for the biggest "want nao" publisher slot since GOG launched.

I'm not saying that it's bad. I just consider it extremely unlikely that they would give us all the publishers at once, even if they could.
