"We're bringing you guys a surprise new publisher tomorrow, creator of a classic strategy series! Who do you think it will be?"

Anyone care to speculate?

Microprose?

I believe that description fits X-Com series.

"We're bringing you guys a new publisher tomorrow! Creators of one of the most action-packed turn based strategy series on PC, we will bring four great games from this publisher in the next few weeks. Who do you think it's going to be?"

Microsoft with the Age of Empire series i hope )
Firaxis? Could be the Civilization series...
Bring f*ing SSI here!
or Microsoft with Close Combat series?
My money's on X-Com. It makes sense, they sell it everywhere else.
Microprose as a publisher doesn't exist anymore. I believe they were bought out by Infrogrames which is now going by the name Atari.

Other than the HOMM series, the only big TBS series of games I can think of is Civilization, which is published by 2K Games. Interestingly, Civ 4 has a DRM free retail release available, which would make it an easy GOG option.

It's unfortunate that it's not Lucasarts, but 2K does have a lot of nice games available to its name, if its actually them.

PenutBrittle: they sell it everywhere else.
And way cheaper than GOG ever goes.

grviper: Bring f*ing SSI here!
SSI was bought by Ubisoft a decade ago after it spent a little time being owned by the black hole of games that is TLC (also not very nice people, they don't respond to questions, like if they still have the rights to JourneyMan Project 3 >_< )
the only one that i can think of that has turn based stratagey games is microsoft, What are the turn based games by the other 2 publishers?
LucasArts.I want to play The Dig and Sam & Max
GOG - I don't use social media services (such as Twitter or Facebook) relying only on gog.com. Am I lesser customer? I understand that GOG passes such messages via social channels but they should be also available via webpage.

To the topic: I don't think it's one of the “big ones” and I also hope that it’s not the one they mentioned in 2011 summary - what basically means that I hope they already have one of the 4 remaining "big-ones" already in their pocket.

It could be XCom, but 2K Games own the rights to the franchise and they're notoriously anti-DRM free gaming. And they region lock their games all over.

So was EA :P You never know what future may bring.

I hope it's microsoft, but 2K is ok, too.
