sheepdragon: Ooh, WH40k novels?
I've read Ultramarine's Omnibus, two Gaunt's Ghosts Omnibuses, Soul Drinkers Omnibus, Blood Raven's Omnibus, and currently reading Eisenhorn. Still haven't read any of the Horus Heresy books, but I think I can "steal" them from a friend.
I couldn't possibly recall all the 40k novels I've read over the years, but I was unable to read the Ultramarines omnibus (Ultramarines are a bit boring IMHO, so I gave it to Tirpitz:P), nor the Soul Drinkers omnibus (emo marines, almost as emo as Dark Angels).
kScope: Here is the list of the battletech novels published so far, a good start would be the Gray Death Legion saga by William H. Keith
Don't know where you could buy them, but probably Amazon is the right place to start
Thanks a bunch, I'll check out the list as soon as I'm off-duty. ;) Too bad I can't buy new/re-released ones, like on Black Library's website. :<
ZamFear: Compare:
Macross Defender vs.
Rifleman.
Well, Macross is all about Valkyries anyway, so, personally, I don't mind it much, but it can't be denied that it's an epic ripoff. :) Luckily BattleTech's technology can't support lumbering Monster Destroids (with those gianormous arm missile launchers which look like they're going to fall off in sec), nor the nimble, transforming Valkyries, right? :)
