keeveek: GOG is doing their best not to devaulate games. Jobs? That's a different sort of things
I got the exact same feeling of value dissonance.

"Games are not people too!"

Yeah, such words coming from a person that says "I don't like the fact games are devaluated" feel disturbing.
You know, I didn't really know you can downrep a blue text. Heh. >:)

Wow. That's the first time i've seen a mod get downrepped/low rating.

keeveek: Polish labour law doesn't allow working for free, but in such cases, job contracts are rarely even made (and if there's no job contract, labour laws do not apply). You could go to court and argue that you should get a job contract...
That's pretty sad. Here in Brazil even if there is no contract labour laws do apply, as long as the person can prove that he worked for the employer (and that's pretty easy, judges tend to look more favourably at the weaker side of the relation). Even if he doesn't receive salary. There are no formal requirements to the job contract exactly to prevent fraud.

keeveek: They pay you with... film gadgets and occasionaly free movie tickets...
Even in this case labour laws would apply and therefore the employer would be forced to pay salaries and other worker's rights.

Technically, you could sue them and demand salary or even demand from court to form a job contract with you and the company.

But it doesn't make much sens, really... It's nothing fantastic to work for a company after such trial. They can't simply fire you, but they will make your life just as miserable as they can.

You may sue them also to get your money in accordance to minimum wage too.

If you have a supervisor, if you do your job regularily in a workplace, etc etc. it's a job, even if they say it isn't.

But it rarely happens. People are rather afraid to go to court against companies. And as I've said, it's nothing pleasant to work for a company that was forced by a court to employ you.
Unpaid is not really a job opportunity... but, maybe there are some bonuses, like huge discounts on (or even free) games on GOG, "eat what you can" lunches, included phone/laptop/girlfriend - I mean female secretary... who knows :)

GOG, please stop pirating labor. Purchase your labor legally and DRM (Draconian Ruling Management) free.
TET, upon realizing he has been low repped, lets out his final whisper and a single tear before hitting the "LAUNCH NUKES" button...

"You... motherfuckers..."

Nuke them from the orbit!!!
I would love applying the position, that's exactly what I've been looking for, but for free? No, thanks!

Offer me a place to crash, 3 meals a day, the whole games catalog and i might consider it. (oh, and don't forget the blue letters :P ).

Well, as far as I'm concerned, if you go and work for a company which has clearly stated that you will not get paid and then sue them for not paying you, you're the dick. I don't like it and this has kind of hurt GOG's image in my eyes, but at least they're upfront about it.

Well, minimum wage is minimum wage. People rampage about children working in China for $1 a day, but working for $0 is ok?

But as I've said, I don't have anything against free internship, only the way it was presented by TET (like a job not "worth" being paid for)

Wait, have you guys never heard of unpaid internships before?
Pay me in pizza, beer and GOGs. I'll sleep in the lobby!
