More tales of jobs left and never to be thought of again?

About your question, I've got my share of abusive employers, sometimes I've waited to get a new job to quit the old one, sometimes I had to quit when I wasn't able to stand my boss anymore. :D

I'm not in (I'm just now trying to get started participating in the forum), but congratulations on the new job!

I once had a government job where we were required to assign every half-hour to a project. We were only allotted so many hours per project, and we were only allowed to go over by so much or the representative from the state would get mad. Of course, the powers-that-be were terrible at estimating how long projects should take, and so projects that could be completed easily were given lots of hours while those that needed a lot were given a few. It was very stressful, and I am very glad to have left that place! As a matter of fact, during the three years that I worked there they fired two people and two others came and went. This was for a total staff of three! So I definitely understand wanting to get to a more pleasant work environment :)

I've been very lucky, working with the same GREAT boss for almost 25 years!

I had always suspected the captain to sport some nasty side, I consider that video to be nothing but false promo by the way ;)

I'm using a public PC as usual, I've no headphones, but I'll check it again tomorrow if I remember to bring them. ;)

Thanks a lot for the wonderful giveaway and best of luck for your new job as I sincerely hope it isn't as stressful as your previous one. I myself am in between jobs for quite a while now and I am hoping I can get back to work soon after I get a job that allows me to best utilize my skills. I have left two jobs before and both of them were a good working environment thankfully but there wasn't much potential for growth in my position in both instances.

Although I am interested in one of the games from the wonderful selection I will let others have a better chance to win their desired games, so not in for this but much appreciated so a +1. :)
