orcishgamer: You realize Blizzard runs almost all of their server and netcode in Java, right?
Really don't care about what happens on the server side of the games, as long as my systems don't have any contact with Java. If they put Java on their future games, they can forget about getting any money from me.

kavazovangel: I'll use them ONLY if they list the damn requirements for the game.

No Java and Flash, and then we can have business.
Revenge of the Titans is programmed in Java and The Binding of Isaac is a flash game so I guess you won't be using them. Pity, both are good games in spite of appearances.

Now you have to tell us why java and flash are so evil and what harm they've inflicted on you and your pc over the years. They may not be the best for games but the games that use it are very playablle. That means no youtube either. Sheer madness.

ROTT can't be a Java game!

It doesn't suck!

What about Towns, Minecraft and Project Zomboid then?

It was no sarcasm. Java games are often slow and horribly optimized because Java fucking sucks. :(
Cool news. I think it is a really good idea to sell the games in a store-like fashion after a Humble Bundle is over.

This, though I do enjoy minecraft it is nowhere near as optimized as it could(should) be...
"Linux and DRM free versions will be added to Humble Store purchases in 2012."

That has been on the Trine 2 page since it's release, incase no one knew.

I was trying to remember where I had seen about Humble Store before.

About the prices, they don't seem to be final, they don't make sense. I would suggest to wait for the actual launch before criticising something like that.

As for the general idea I really hope it's viable, I like those guys. So far they have shown excellent business and marketing skills, without the corporate greed that makes company lackeys disgusting. Let's hope that the spirit lives on.

"Purchase Trine 2 instantly and unlock it on Steam."

I wonder if that will be normal for the store. Giving the sale cut to Wolfire/Humble Store instead of Valve, yet using Steam's delivery network and Steamworks? I'd like that. It's the best of both worlds.

I think it's temporary - they will replace it with a DRM free, when they'll be ready.

I'd like to think that we get the DRM-free version as well, but I have no objection using Valve's bandwidth without directly giving them any money. :P

That's what I had meant -- if the HIBs are anything to go by, you get DRM free and a Steam key if you want it. Which is pretty awesome.
