ShadowWulfe: Party time! Worry about how painful it will be for your wallet in the morning.

BlueJayOnToast: My wallet is use to being empty :P

RayRay13000: Yep, it's the last day of the Summer Sale. So if there's something you want from this sale be sure to get it now. There are also sales during the weekend, and there's a sale on a certain game (or set of games) on Monday's and Wednesdays as well. Releases are usually on Tuesday and Wednesday, so keep an eye on that.

And again, Welcome to GOG. :)

BlueJayOnToast: Holy beans that's a lot of sales.... *_*
Holy beans indeed, if I didn't tap myself out I would grab myself some Theme Hospital or Alpha Centauri. If you have the cash, I recommend checking those two out. :)
Welcome! Glad you like GoG. :)

I lurk a lot, don't post here much, but the community is really nice compared to a lot of others.
As for games, most of the catalog is amazing. Just depends on what you're into. My best finds recently were The Real Texas (adventure), the Blackwell Bundle (point-and-click), and King of Dragon Pass (strategy). You should check 'em out.
Even with this being the last day of the sale, more sales will come around in the future. The next massive one will be around Christmas. So if you can't afford everything you want now, it will repeat again some day.

That said, welcome to GOG!
Welcome:D
Wow so many games that sound really good! I don't know what to try! I got money for one more!

Here is our man Roman5's list of the games with 5 stars on GOG:
http://www.gog.com/mix/the_best_gog_can_offer_5_star_rated_games_only
It's worth looking through those, and welcome aboard BlueJayOnToast.
Welcome to GoG! I'm glad you are already finding things you enjoy! Since you asked what games some of us enjoy. Well, I have a list.

Fallout 1, 2 and Tactics
Neverwinter Nights 1 and 2
Icewind Dale 1 and 2
Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 (Use this thing called the trilogy mod)
Arcanum
Divine Divinity
Space Rangers 2 (Although I don't believe its offered anymore due to a hopefully soon new re release!)
System Shock 2

and last, but by no means the least... In fact, I consider this as having saved the best for last...

Planescape: Torment

You can't go wrong with ANY of those games. If they don't float your boat, or you've played them already and had no enjoyment, well, thats you man.

Anyways, I really hope you continue to have wonderful experiences with GoG as I have these last few years.
I know I've said it like 87 times but wow...I can not get over how nice everyone has been so far! There are so many options to choose from I think I might have to go with one I've never heard of BUT Fallout 1&2 will be next since I am a pretty big Fallout 3 fan girl and have been wanting to play the first 2 for days!
Welcome to GOG! Enjoy your stay and get used to an empty wallet... ;-)

Sent you a code for Torchlight just in case that you missed the free promo from two weeks ago.

Or you could stick around, talk to us on the forums or PMs. We're generally an all-right bunch ;)

As no one seems to have mentioned it, GoG originally stood for Good Old Games. This place made its name on offering old, hard-to-find-and-run classics and it still is its biggest draw. Baldur's Gate, Planescape: Torment, Alpha Centauri, Deus Ex, Wing Commander... these are some of the greatest games of all time, on any platform. Figure out what game you'd fancy and try it. You'll stick around ;)

I actually read while looking on the site that it stood for Good Old Games, I'm thinkin of trying Dues Ex or Planescape...I've never heard of Baldurs Gate tho! :D
