Z0RAK: Hey gog.com guys, please put more classic games like Claw, Jurassic Park: Trespasser, Prince Of Persia (1989), Monkey Island series, Dune 1 and 2, The Dig, The Legend Of Kyrandia, Delta Force series, The Immortal, Tomb Raider series, Outlaws, Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, Pandemonium 1 and 2, Croc 1 Legend of the Gobbos and Croc 2, Full Throttle, Transport Tycoon Deluxe, 18 Wheels Of Steel series, Legacy of Kain series, Thief 1 and 2.......

Does anyone have suggestions?
Hopefully gog will eventually sign lucas arts, a good part of you're list will be complete. Here's hoping. They said during the holiday sale that they've finished the paperwork for a new publisher, hopefully it's LA.

Damn, you have a good taste! Or did you compile that list from the earlier request threads? You have definitely interesting (and a bit unusual) suggestions there that I'd like to see too, like Trespasser, Delta Force series, Pandemonium games, Croc games etc. Especially Croc 1 has a special place in my heart, sentimental values related to real world actually...

AFnord: Out of the games that you listed, i suspect that at least Trespasser won't see a release. The game had so much potential, but the released version was not only a bit buggy but actually downright broken, and they never really managed to fix that game. Also, the hand controls *shudders*.
Even with its bugs, I found it an interesting "experiment", and shooting felt interestingly hard compared to contemporary FPS games with their accurate prismatic sights and 100% steady hand etc. Also how I used to shoot a few extra rounds into velociraptors because I wasn't 100% sure if it was completely dead already (which also was quite different from other FPS games).

But maybe it hasn't aged that well and all that fake physics stuff feels just gimmicky now, I'll have to retry at some point...

I agree with you that it is an interesting experiment, and for that reason it is worth trying out. But it would not have a very wide appeal, and unless you have a lot of patience for bugs and not all that well thought out game mechanics, it is just too frustrating to play properly. I would like to see many of the ideas found in the game properly implemented in a new game though, because Trespasser managed to be more frustrating than Daggerfall, with less saving graces (yet I can't really hate it)

Trespasser has been fan patched quite nicely. I could even scare two raptors away with a gun that had an empty clip, after I put three shots into each at point blank.
I think, there's an experimental option to let dinos into buildings now. That I don't want. I've had enough trouble with the aforementioned pair of raptors stalking me at the only door out of a shed.

The patch doesn't remove the need to run the game on a single core, however.

Good to know. Fortunately I have two single-core retro PCs available, or is it enough to set a modern PC to use only single core?

Yes, imagecfg does the trick.

Trespasser actually looks kinda awesome to me... is there a good (non-torrent) place to get hold of it?

Amazon (£6½ on amazon.co.uk).
Be warned that even with the fan patch (yes I have tried it, though I don't think it was the latest iteration of it), the game is still buggy, unstable and has awkward controls. An interesting experiment, but a very deeply flawed game.

I just spoke with someone from gog and they seemed very interested about possibly going with Spiderweb Software's games. That would be clutch-Geneforge 1-5 Epic roleplaying games, Avernum 1-6, Avadon.

I dont know, i might be bias but i think that if they add those games to gog, there'll be a lot of baldurs gate classic roleplaying fans that will be very happy :)
Thank you guys, see that you are very open-minded (I'm not being ironic lol), but the purpose of the topic was just to gather suggestions from you as the your game taste not only to give a nudge in the gog.com guys, but also to better know the guys and their tastes .... you could post some suggestions, I would like to know just out of curiosity!
