Well, I don't know much about good abandonware sites and I don't want to catch any nasty worm :)
But the moral aspect is far more important for me :) If I want to play for free, I go for freeware.

Abandonia and Oldgames.sk were/are trustworthy in this regard as far as I know and experienced, although from a "moral" standpoint I recall thinking that Oldgames.sk had a more "russian" view of what is abandonware if get what I mean.
Also, Abandonia puts (did put ? Didn't check recently) GOG buylinks instead of their download links when games get released here, so you can go check Abandonia and still feel good :-)
