Played around with the downloader a bit and it seems fine to me. Thumbs up fo the team!
Maybe you could make (or maybe you are already making) an installer that installs the adobe air in the same package so they wouldn't be separate.
And a simple limiter would be soooo nice. ^^
At least bigger extras, like large soundtracks, would be very nice if they could be added to the downloader.

Stormbolter: It would be nice if we could add the extras to the queue as it would simplify the downloading process.

It is a cool thing, although its really really basic. Hopefully you will be adding features...and hopefully you will include autoupdate.

So far, no complaints from this end. Downloaded nice and fast, and the countdown timer was completely accurate.
Slight bug, but I'll be reporting it to the Support Team, so no worries.

I'm not happy with this downloader at all. It keeps dropping the connection every 5-15 minutes, forcing me to pause and resume it.
Also I've received a number of BSoDs since installation, whilst having it running.

I'm not a big fan of Adobe AIR, but nevertheless it runs flawless (so far...;) ) in Ubuntu 8.04.1!

I'm on an unstable satellite connection thats sortof slow, so I leave the downloader on and just go away - But this creates a problem since it seems whenever my Internet fuddles, it pauses the download - Is there any way to have it 'retry' to connect so that I can leave it alone for a time and come back and have it still running? Becuase some of the downloaders are getting really big and I don't want to have to baby it all the way through.

No problems with the downloader either.
One question, though, just finished downloading Toca 3, and is 3 big files.
setup_toca_3-1.bin
setup_toca_3-2.bin
toca_race_driver_3_part3.gogDownload
Is that last one supposed to be .gogDownload, or is it supposed to be setup_toca_3-3.bin? Just curious.
EDIT: Seems that i was right. When i isntalled Toca, i had to manually rename the .gogDownload file to setup_toca_3-3.bin, i guess the downloaded forgot to :P

I'm having a fun time with it. :( I don't know if its going to resume, but I was less than 150mb till the end. Might want support to look into this, I got a unknown ioError, F1000 I believe.
Edit: Well, it reset my download. Lovely, there goes a days of downloading. :(

Tried it on Fallout and Original War; It finished the download for both (marked it as completed) but "forgot" to rename the temporary files. I renamed them to <game_title>.exe and they ran fine.
Even with the bugs it's better than making firefox download them.

This same thing happened to me the only two times I used the downloader. I didn't realize that I could just rename the temp file, so I ended up re-downloading with my browser.
Why is the downloader better than using Firefox? Its not like the current version of the downloader app gives you any features that Firefox doesn't already have, plus its buggy, which Firefox generally is not.
