Phew! What a week from Konami! We had a lot of stuff shown to us at their Pre-E3 show but to me of course the most important thing was the castlevania info

First and foremost, the first Lords of Shadow is coming to the PC as the ultimate edition with all DLC, in 1080p and 60FPS

Next up, after a long await, we finally got more information regarding Lords of Shadow 2 and a new trailer as well

I have to say, looks absolutely fantastic, strong contender for game of the year, buying this on day one

Mildly interested, I played it on console, it's an honest third person action/platformer that just happen to be called Castlevania for some strange reason. Out of all the console exclusive game in genres is not my favorite nor the main one I would have like to see ported to PC.

Personally I would have preferred HD ports of the 2D Castlevania games.

Don't care much. When I played it on PS3, I honestly felt like I was playing God of War rather than Castlevania.

Well, I finished it on PS3, it's not a "classic" Castlevania at all.
It has a good graphic, but that's all.
It's too simple even on Paladin, it has no plot at all, and God is boring.

I know it's not a classic Castlevania but I also like God of War-style games :D. As long as I can pull out wicked combos, plot becomes secondary at that point :P

Well, just think a God of War game with too many combo (and you will use only ONE of them), idiot AI and a wooden character...that's Castlevania Lords of Shadow :D

Whatever, I haven't played Rygar. What I do know is that this game barely resembled Castlevania. (Whether it be NES Castlevania, Symphony of the Night, the GBA games or the DS games)

I would also, but I think 2d Castlevania is pretty much dead now. At a press conference before Harmony of Despair released, Koji Igarashi said something like "Hey guys, Castlevania can't stay 2d forever." After that I never heard much of what else he was doing. :(

I think I was ruined by the original Castlevania; it was so damn hard and everyone seemed good at it but me. That has nothing to do with this thread but I love reminiscing about the past. :D
