Arc System Works, the devs behind the Guilty Gear and BlazBlue games, have posted this teaser with the date April 23, 2014:

I'd love to see a new Bloodrayne game, so I'm interested to see what direction they will take the game in, given their experience.
So long as it isn't a new bloodrayne movie....
That would be an interesting switch - a Western IP handed to a conventionally Japanese studio. Usually it's the other way around.

Liking the new look for Rayne judging by that site.
I heard there was a console only Bloodrayne game. How was that? Did they continue the story from Bloodrayne 2?

Yes, a 2D platformer. A very polarized reception and unclear in terms of continuity.

a new movie wouldnt be a problem aslong as they dont get Uwe Boll to direct it again

I don't like how they hint at Rayne being a monster. Just because she has fangs? That's racist! Next, they'll call a monster to anybody cutting people into little pieces and whose idea of getting through a working ventilation fan is throwing living humans at it until it breaks.

Which makes me think, will they be able to come up with enough scenarios where throwing living humans into fast spinning propellers, or did they use them all up on the second game?

BTW, if this is by the authors of Guility Gear and Blazblue, I assume there's a decent chance of this game making it to GOG. Cool.

But out of the entire Nietzsche corpus, they managed to pick the quotation already used by Baldur's Gate.

Maybe it's eternal recurrence. :-P
YES. I finished both Bloodraynes earlier this year and could definitely use another gory slashfest.

well its the most used quote by nietzsche so no wonder it ends up in multiple games
just like a few einstein quotes which are almost as popular as einstein himself
Not a huge fan of the Boobrayne franchise, but I'm interested to see what a Japanese company will do with it.
I hope it won't be another fighting game from them though.

Only played the demo but IIRC it seemed fun and well-executed actually. But nothing groundbreaking and certainly not what fans of the original game really want. To me the switch to 2D and anime style felt as if some random team, that incidentally happens to specialize in that kind of stuff, had somehow ended up working on a franchise they don't even have any kind of passion for. A friend who played the full version (and is also a fan of the original series) expressed similar thoughts.

But she's never gonna make another appearance in Playboy with those looks! She will make it into a bunch of hentais, though...

I like the Bloodrayne games. And while I don't have anything at all against busty anime babes I shudder at the thought that a new official Rayne game will have eastern-anime style. Do invent a vampire hotty IP on your own if you dont care for the original style yer lazy bastards! (imagine it with fist on table slam)

But than again. If they even bother to release a PC version it will most likely be a Steam exclusive. So... /shrug
