I don't really need more games to play but this seems like a good deal. Has anyone seen it this cheap before and does anyone know if the Steam version has any additional DRM?
Can't answer you Ric, just posting to say that I'm interested in this too.

Also, too bad it doesn't include Mysteries of the Westgate.

Yes, at GamersGate, couple of days ago, when it was Deal of the Day.

No idea, I don't buy at Steam. the GamersGate version is listed as having SecuRom.

It was 5.99 on GG this Monday, and on Tuesday morning they had a price mistake so it's $3 only. They fixed it quick though.
GamersGate is listed as Securom but upon patching it to the final version (only 8 patches or so), you get NWN2 Platinum without DRM.
Should I get it even w/o mysteries of westgate? It's tempting

MoW is a story on it's own, IIRC.

Well dang, I assumed it was complete with Platinum being in the title.
Maybe I'll hold off then.

Nope. FYI for future reference, if a Steam game has additional DRM it will say so in the 'Game Details' section of the page, lower right hand corner.

Not always, however, so it is best to check on Steam's forums.
Eep! Silly people!!

Nevermind Westgate, this is 100hrs worth of RPG right there. For $5.
And there's about 2000 hrs worth of additional content through fan made modules.

If you think you'd like NWN2, just grab the package already!
Mask of the Betrayer alone is worth the whole package even without discount.

Westgate was just a DLC, a good adventure but nevertheless.
If you like the game, this is amazing value.
If you don't, 15hrs more wont change a thing.

I'll get it eventually for sure, was just trying to decide if I want it today or not.
You do.
It's really good. It's the most cynical snarky campaign I've ever seen in a D&D game, and that makes it awesome. Mask of the Betrayer is also a top notch expansion pack.

If you don't have too many RPGs in your backlog, I'd definitely say go for it. It's not going to get much cheaper in the future.
It is optimised poorly though. At max everything the game creeps along at around 15-20 FPS during cutscenes and some parts of the game, and I have a 3.4 Ghz quad core and tons of ram.
