I've read the book it's exellent but never played the game in fact I never heard about it
The game captures the atmosphere of the novel well - actually I'd recommend it _especially_ to people who've read (and liked) the novel, as the game includes many references to it and even uses some of its locations. The game does have its own story though and you play a different character, so you're not just re-playing the novel either.

From what I remember, the graphics of the game were rather bad though. But I don't even remember on which platform I played it, and there may have been prettier versions around than the one I played.

Btw, for people who liked the Neuromancer game, I'd also recommend "Circuit's Edge". The game ties in perfectly between the first and second book of George Alec Effinger's "Marid Audran" trilogy, and like the "Neuromancer" game, it manages very well to capture the atmosphere and setting of the novels while still narrating its own, interesting story.

there has been a dos, amiga, commodore and apple version.

each really differ with its graphics, and the amiga seems to be the best one.
but if you compare it to a starflight or even an ultima 1+2+3 , it doesnt really look that bad.

Circuit's Edge is also to be recommended yeah.

shame there arent any cyberpunk games like that anymore. think one of the last must have been bloodnet.
