I absolutely love the setting in this game. When someone says "post-apocalyptic" the first thought it always Mad Max-ian deserts, but this game turns it on it's head with the green fields, woods, dreary dark skies and rain, looters with hoodies on, and the cause of the apocalypse isn't nuclear war, in fact you aren't even really sure what caused the collapse, was it economic depression, war, pollution, or strange supernatural happenings. So creative and amazing, love it

Thanks! Road Warrior and Fallout were definitely two IPs that influenced me growing up, but so did settings like Rifts, Shadowrun, and later, STALKER.

I like the idea of mankind being the underdog again, and the world being returned to a dangerous frontier. When I was first drafting ideas for NEO Scavenger, I had a spreadsheet listing all the things I wanted in the world. The tricky part was finding a way to explain how they all coexist. We have yet to see if this choice satisfies!
