Crosmando: Dying of Infections: The Game
JudasIscariot: I never died of infections. It was the raiders and dogmen that always did me in. I have learned that you get quite a few anti-biotics as well as clean rags that you can use as makeshift bandages. Also, pick up all the scrap pieces of paper and read them until you see a new recipe show up in your known recipes section in the left side of the inventory.
I actually like how you can make various things in the game, I just wish I lived long enough for my character to actually find the necessary materials to make this cool sounding stuff :D.
Yeah, well I didn't have any antibiotics or clean rags when I had infected wounds, all I had was painkillers (which keep you from dying but don't solve the actual infection) and dirty rags, but never any alcohol to clean them with (as I understand that's how you make clean rags). I kept getting into fights with looters, but even if I killed them I ended up wounded and died shortly thereafter from infection.
Also, I've noticed that drinking any old water you find is not a good idea (I think you need to boil it with pot+fire to sanitize it), I thought it was a bug in the beta version, but I drank some water and shortly after my character became dehydrated down to one-bar really quick. Then he dropped dead of cholera.
Amazing game though, I pre-ordered, the realism and survival aspect are the best I've seen since Robinson's Requiem. I was also reminded of the travel map in Fallout, with the random encounters.
