I cannot, for the life of me, beat this guy. I cant parry him. I cant tank him. I somehow cant even dodge him now.

I made it all the way to the end of this game finally, after months of trying to find the motivation to start again.

If someone could be so kind as to help me beat this guy before I have an aneurism, I would be eternally grateful.

I am level 84 and in the Chaos Servant covenant. (no Solaire to help, though, because the game glitched and he still went mad)

I just want the nightmare to be over so I can move on with my life.

Until I decide to commit suicide and start ng+
What's your build? (In general, Dex, Str, etc. no need for specific stats)

Gazoinks: What's your build? (In general, Dex, Str, etc. no need for specific stats)
30 vit
32 end
27 str
30 dex

All the rest are quite low. My first build where I had no idea what to do but was to lazy to start a new character as I had gotten too far into the game.
What equipment are you using and what's your general playstyle?

I am using a Black Knight Shield +3. A Black Knight Shield +4 (the best I could scrabble together atm)
The Elite Knight Set upgraded to at least +4 with the Mask of the Child.

Generally, I like to back stab so I usually roll to get behind. I am not good enough to have a system. It was usually "dont get hit, stupid" I used single handed swords for the entire game. The new one is a little slower than I am used to.

edit: The other armors make me slow due to lowish carry weight.

I'd recommend either playing really carefully or the complete opposite. Try taking off enough armor to let you quick roll, get used to dodging Gwyn's attacks, and only hit him when you absolutely know there's an opening. Alternatively, stack up on armor with poise, tank through his attacks and hit him in the face. Using the Pyromancy Iron Flesh will help a lot with this strategy.

I will try to havel him down. I'll let you know how it goes.

Edit: LOLZ. I lasted about 5 seconds. I will try again, but I might have to smash my computer with a sledgehammer.

Oh, also, what level are you?

84, effectively screwing my ng+, I believe.

84's pretty standard for beating the game. Honestly, I haven't played in a while, maybe head to a fan forum for aid? Or a walkthrough.

I will try to find a forum. The worst part is running through the 5 black knights over. And over.

Thanks for trying to help an awful gamer. :)
Have you tried...parrying him?

You can chain parry Gwyn and use the counter attacks to kill him real quick like ....

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. I'm pretty bad at parrying, but it's probably the best way of killing him.
Can't you summon someone for the fight? I would go into human form and see if you could bring some computer help along, or get a friend to meet you somewhere and do it co-op.

The approach which had been worked for me, was my best armor combined with stone-skin spell. Healing is necessary too.

The hard part was to cast stone-skin for a second time during the fight. It should be immediately after the effect of the first stone-skin expires.
