To make it short there is 2 games i would really like to find out the title of. I have tried before on some other forums but without any result ( at least not for one of the games) and I figured that since they both are fairly old I imagine this would maybe be the best place to ask.
So the first game is a sci-fi diablo looking game. It should be at least 8 years old most likely more than that. Between missions you have the opportunity to shop weapons, install cybernetics and heal all in some kind of a base. The game itself plays very similar to diablo but with focus on firearms. Your main enemies are different kinds of aliens.
And yes I know that there is a few games that fit this description but I have yet to find the right one. important to know is that I only played a demo of this game so it is possible that it never were finished and released. The demo was from a swedish PC magazine ( can't remember which one though) if that helps.
The other game is a game I have neither played but i remember looking at the game box inside stores a long time ago. This game should also most likely be 8+ years old and it is some kind of a World War II RPG if I understand correctly. Seeing how I haven't played it myself I can't describe it much better but it seems like you control different characters in a top down view.
I realize this is fairly vague but it would make me happy if someone could help me out :) Feel free to ask me to add more info because I might be able to do that. Thanks in advance

Space Hack and Silent Storm come to mind, though they're a bit less than eight years old.

Yes, upon reading the description of the first game, I immediately thought of Alien Shooter as well.

Shadowgrounds is another possibility for the first game. But again, I don't think it's that old. But being pretty much an indie game does mean that it kinda looks like it could be that old.
The second game could even be Commandos, from your description.

Hmm, dunno with the first one, the ww2 could be Commandos? not really RPG but you have archetype characters

The first game sounds like restricted area to me but its only 5 years old.

It has 3 or 4(don't remember) character classes but if you only had a demo chances are you could only play the agent which specialised in guns. Its top down like diablo and you can install mods on your character.
Be warned if thats the game the retail version ships with a nasty version of starforce which I actually believe killed one of my dvd drives.

Alright i got the answer to the second game which does indeed seem to be "Another war".
However the first one is neither harbringer, space hack, alien shooter or shadow grounds. Maybe I should add that it was in 2D to single out a few more games.
Either way is there any place were one can buy Another war and is the game even any good?

Much older than 8, but, Alien Syndrome or Alien Breed? There is also Abuse.

Nope still not any of the games mentioned here :/ Must be a really unknown game since I have yet to find anyone else who has tried it.
Oh and I did read a bit about Another War and it actually seemed pretty nice which kinda sucks considering if it would have seemed bad it wouldn't be much of a loss not being able to get my hands on it :/

What exactly do you mean by the game being in 2D?
