Ok for a project i've to think up a product to win a contest and i'm pretty much all creativited out so I need help from you guys, here's some we've already though up for ideas and please tell me if you'd buy them
1. Phone cover with buzzer for when the phone is on silent.
2. Q & A App for android and iphone
3. Solar powered phone charger for when you're away

This seems like a neat idea for when you lose your phone and it's on silent, but... doesn't it sort of defeat the purpose of being on silent if it makes noise? Plus, in order for it to find your lost phone you'd need to remember to put it on before you remembered to lose it.

Is the assignment for phones only?

no don't know why we're obsessed with phones but the buzzer only activates if you press a button on a remote for it, it's not part of the phone.

Here's an idea. How about a benign viral marketing app. You subscribe to various "channels", and as you walk around, the hotspots (or bluetooth perhaps) that are signed up register your noted favourites, then push these to others that walk by with such favourites. It would be a weird kind of location based spread of popular trending things.

I've often thought about an app which would be cool if it was in widespread use. Basically it's a music player app, but it broadcasts the music stream to the immediate vicinity. You can then look at the app on your phone, and see which "channels" are in your area, and simply tune in. So if you find someone who commutes to work the same way you do and has an excellent taste in music, you can listen to whatever he's listening to, without even knowing who he is.

Naturally, copyright issues will probably render this idea useless, but I still think the concept is cool.

Just telling you, we've to run our idea by the teacher as she lets 4 groups though out of 8 or something.
1.She's similar to a female dog if you get my drift
2.She's not too techy she thinks a fan for a computer is a good idea...

Then go with either mine or Wishbone's ideas. Idiots that are blagging their place love that shit. They think it makes them seem like they "get it".

I doubt I'd have the technical know-how unfortunately... :(
