This is my first thread I have started on here btw :D

I have been perusing the internet for suggestions but had trouble finding anything of consequence. I have a serious hankering for a cyperpunk game, preferably a crpg and relatively modern but will listen to all suggestions.

I have already played:

Deus ex (all of em)
Shadowrun Returns and Dragonfall
Remember Me
Blood Dragon
Metal gear rising revengeance
Syndicate (all of em)
Binary Domain
Hard Reset
EYE Divine Cybermancy
Pretty much every WH40k game

Also some from years ago like system shock 2, beneath a steel sky, oni etc etc.

I cant stand driving games or sports games and with first person shooters I usually loose interest early on (like blood dragon/hard reset) but am still open to suggestions including them. Also I'm not a massive fan of action games but if the story is really good or the artwork and cyberpunk setting is nice I stick them out to the end and enjoy them :)

Just after something to sate my need for it a little until cyberpunk 2077 comes out, or even dex next month.

Cheers for reading !

Can't go wrong with Shadowrun if you enjoy turn-based games. The variety of PCs is great and while you don't build a standing party, before every mission you can pic a new team - so you really get a sense of all the different races / classes / builds. I've heard Dragonfall is the more complete and entertaining campaing with a more traditional party structure (recruit and grow a group) but I found the original campaign plenty interesting if a bit linear. Linear story wise - the "choice" really comes in how you want to approach situations and deal with tactical combats.
Well, I can only recommend a few adventures, no CRPGs...
You could always play Beneath a Steel Sky, which is a true classic. Also, if you don't mind seriously OLD stuff give Neuromancer a try. It doesn't get any more Cyberpunk than that :)

-edit- sorry, I see you already played BASS. Nevermind that then, sorry!

Cheers for the suggestion :) Already played the hell out of Shadowrun returns and dragonfall. Also played on a couple of fan made modules and had a lot of fun with that game! just after a new experience now! I could continue with the horus heresy series I guess (I'm on the flight of the eisenstein) but I much prefer gaming to reading unless I'm either on holiday/travelling/toilet.
Psychonauts!

(yes, it is not Cyberpunk.... or CRPG.... or relatively modern... but it is Psychonauts!)
Thanks for the suggestions ! I like the lore and setting etc of neuromancer from what i have read (i also liked the film johnny mnemonic even tho it was obviously terrible) , I have heard they are making a film of it soon too :) .

I don't really fancy psychonauts as i have never been a fan of platformers (not since I had the megadrive) I even missed portal and portal 2 because they were platform/puzzle :S

Really sorry for being a fussy sod !
Looking at Deus Ex I'm thinking Dishonored (for stealth). It's steampunk and you have multiple ways of getting through objectives with a bonus for less mayhem and slaughter. I'm half way through and I really like it. Heard the DLC is awful though.

I haven't played them myself, thought I want to, but the old Thief games.

Also for good story and steampunk: Bioshock Infinite. Loved this game. Like a lot. If you don't like bioshock in general though, stay away. It plays like the others.

Sorry these are more current games, I'm just getting back into old school ones and am not so knowledgeable.

Edit: I'm an idiot these are Steampunk. Still good games though.

I think those are steampunk, not cyberpunk actually.

No worries, also IMO Infinite does not play at all like the others.
BS1 is a horror shooter, BS2 is more of an escort and trap/tactical shooter and Infinite is very action oriented with no horror elements to speak of.
Good games though.
Since you already played Beneath a Steel Sky, there's a good chance you would very much enjoy Gemini Rue

It's a fairly short game but still has enough meat to warrant the $9.99 price tag due to its quality and atmosphere.
When it's on sale, it's must have.

I meant more of actual game control with the powers and what not. Not so much atmosphere.

Well alright control-wise yes, but gameplay/pacing and atmosphere-wise not so much.

Oh and as for a cyberpunk game, how about Dreamweb?
It's free on the ScummVM page these days unless I'm very much mistaken.
Try SiN, it's a FPS but I think it pretty good and I also not a big FPS fan.
Cheers for the continued suggestions !

I tried bs 1 and infinite on my m8's xbox when they came out tho i wasn't massively keen, i may buy infinite when a mecha cheap all content edition comes out down the line to give it more of a chance.

I'l have a google for that Gemini Rue, does it have the high rise buildings with lots of neon lights and cybernetic implants etc?

I played Dreamweb years ago liked it at the time. Also that suggestion reminded me of bloodnet for some reason but fancy a new experience and the more modern the better :) (but still listening to any suggestions)
