i think people are too stingy with the excerpts. Posting even 2 or 3 clearly wouldnt be a bad thing :)

DieRuhe: Wow, ok. Let's see...

He went out into the night, uncomfortable in his stride for the first block or two, and emerged from the narrow streets of the Marais to cross the Pont Louis Phillippe with the Seine sliding under the bridge and the bridge touched by the moon.
Actually, Hannibal Rising?

"All right," I say. "I'm not offering you any, since this is our first time going in together, and i dont't know how the stuff affects you. Here is how we'll do things. Everything I say will be carried out immediately and unconditionally. If someone hesitates or starts asking questions, I'll hit whatever is in reach, my apologies in advance."

coxdr: Roadside Picnic?
Yep!
...in case we have barbarians among us - "Roadside picnic" is the original book "Stalker" games + movie are based on.
This may be an easy book to guess. Also I took out name of the enemy and inserting a --- instead, because the name makes this to easy to find.

with sickness in the --- camp leaving so many weak, along with so many of the enemy having impaired vision, those missions were extraordinarily successful. Troops wearing the concealing cloaks were also sent to lie in wait and intercept any supply trains, hoping to neutralize the reinforcements before they could join the enemy's main force.
since its been a few hours ill post another segment of the book

The bread shop stood at an intersection of two roads, so the line turned around the corner onto another street. Nicci was around the corner, leaning a shoulder against the wall, watching the passing throngs, when a face in the crowd caught her attention.
