AdamBiser, I have figured out how to get the games to you! Just PM me your email address and your choices, and when I purchase them I have them send you a redeem code for the games. Easy as pie!
Barry_Woodward: Thanks for the download link for Daggorath. As much as I look around I still have no idea what this "port" business is. :) I'm good with a disk, or at playing around in DOS (a little), but beyond that I'm clueless. To make matters worse, I now have a Mac.
So, with very low expectations I googled for a Mac version of the game, and I actually got a few hits!: http://tlindner.macmess.org/?page_id=165
With a trusting soul I downloaded the v. 0.4.0 of the game itself from this website, and that went OK, but I can't figure out this SDL and SDL Mixer thing, which it says I have to also have installed. When I click on them I'm taken to a website with options that are beyond my level of expertise.
Would anyone here be able to explain these strange surroundings to me and help me plot my next move?
Thanks!

Hey, glad that was it and we were able to help you. Normally I have no clue what the OP is looking for, but what you said rang a bell. :)
You might also try MESS ( http://www.mess.org/ )
It's an emulator that you can set up to emulate the Color Computer and if you have or can find a ROM pack of the game, you'll be able to play it just like you did then since MESS strives for accuracy. It does mention Mac in there, but not having one, I can't be much help other than that.
I have to run now, but I'll PM my choices to you later in the day. A reward is not really necessary, but thanks again for doing that.
Also, for future reference, if you don't know a person's email, you can also send the purchase as a gift to your own email address and then PM the key you get in your email to the person. Bear in mind that all games in the purchase go into the same key. They do not get individual keys.

Anyway, I await your titles!

A "port" is a software (in this case a game) converted (re-coded and re-compiled) for a system different from the original.
To install SDL, you need the binaries (for Mac computers, they're the .dmg files).
First download and install the SDL runtime according to your processor (Intel or PowerPC) from here: http://www.libsdl.org/download-1.2.php, and once that is ready, download and install the SDL Mixer from here: http://www.libsdl.org/projects/SDL_mixer/
As previously mentioned I found a site offering a Mac version of Daggorath (http://tlindner.macmess.org/?page_id=165) which also directed me to a website where I would find the SDL files I would need to run it. I downloaded the game but got confused on the site with the SDL stuff. Upon mentioning that here, Klaattu cut through the clutter on, I believe, that same SDL website (libsdl.org) and posted, in this thread, the exact download links for the SDL and the SDL Mixer that I would need. So, I downloaded them as well.
Now, I'm not all that familiar with my Mac yet and downloading/installing things always seems more complicated than it should. I believe this is more me than the computer, but who knows. I assumed the SDL files would need to be installed before they would be able to fulfill their duties so, one at a time, I clicked the two SDL files I had downloaded while they were still in my Downloads folder.
One unpacked/exploded into the SDL_mixer (a .dmg) and a readme file; the other turned into a folder with a few things in it: a Mac developer's folder called devel-lite, three text files (a readme, a license, and UniversalBinaryNotes), and a folder called SDL.framework. In turn, this last folder contained three more folders (Headers, Resources, and Versions) and a seemingly executable file called SDL. For obvious reasons, we'll call these two downloads, Mixer and SDL.
Then I read Mixer's readme and it said that Mixer should be put in the directory:
/Library/Frameworks
Thankfully, I remembered that my Mac has a /Library directory and I know Macs are funny about only being able to use some files in certain ways if they're in certain folders, so I assumed this is where it was talking about. I found /Library but it had no /Frameworks in it...so I made one! Then I slid the original Mixer file into that folder, I guess--I have no idea where the readme file went.
Then I read the SDL's readme file. It said that one needed to go into the same directory. For whatever reason, the files that unpacked with the SDL were not found in my Finder window in Downloads, so I had to slide it into the destination folder from the website window (I don't know what else to call it) that pops up sometimes when you download something. So I slid the file I needed from there but this time it copied instead of moved. In any case, I don't know if it should be this way or not, but the dev-lite and the three text files didn't come with the SDL file into the /Frameworks directory; recall, with the Mixer file, the readme didn't come with it either but it seems to have disappeared.
ANYWAY... the SDL and the Mixer were downloaded, they were both double-clicked (so they installed, right?), the directions were read and the core files were put where they need to be. So, I tried the game. To my surprise, I get a message from Apple saying that to run the program, I have to install Rosetta, and it offered to locate and install it. I let it do this, and then I tried the game again. Before anything at all really happened, another message came up: "Problem Report for dod". Its heading: "dod quit unexpectedly."
So, I'm going to take a nap now (to recover from all this typing), and hopefully a few of you will have some good info/questions for me later.
Thanks a lot, folks!

I think you got the sdl thing right, and the problem is with dod executable which is powerpc compiled
dod: Mach-O executable ppc
Rosetta is used to execute powerpc executables on intel processor.
Maybe you can contact the porter of the game to the mac

Not sure if my messages didn't go through or what. There were some site issues a day or two ago. Sorry if you are getting this information twice:
I'll choose these:
- Commandos Ammo Pack
- Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver
- Outcast
My email is adambiser [at] fastmail [dot] us
if you ever want to try out MESS on your Mac, there seems to be a Mac version . You can also find more information about the game [url=http://iloveglory.freehostia.com/daggorath/index.html]at this page. It also has files to help set up MESS.
I never had the chance to play Dungeons of Daggorath on the Color Computer, but I remember seeing it and hearing about it. MESS is a great way to use the CoCo again if the way you're trying now ends up not working or if you just want to give it a shot.
