Probably true. But are they still pissin' an' moanin' 'bout Fallout 3 and consoles? New Vegas should have put that shit to rest.

I don't know... I'm still uneducated about Fallout 3 and forward... ;p

Oh, it's just that they were fanaticaly unhappy about Fallout 3. Which... yeah, the ending SUCKED before it was patched. But Fallout: New Vegas is as good as 1 and 2, if not better.

Do I give The Cat Lady to the Swede or the Canuck? Or do I make 'em have a catfight?

Yeah.. I've read a lot of good things about NV, and coming from veterans, so... someday I wanna try it, for sure..

about the lady.. I don't know.

I think it's because some of the same people worked on Vegas who worked on 1 & 2.

Yeah, probably.. the guys from Obsidian. But I meant veteran players!.. that's what really matter... ;p
but they also said the game was released with tons of bugs, but guess everything is fine now.

I can see why fans of the originals didn't like Fallout 3, and having not played much of the originals other than a few hours of 1, I maybe don't have the chops to critique either, but all I can say is that, regardless of the rest of the series, Fallout 3 was one of the best virtual experiences that I have ever had. Made me buy an Xbox 360, piqued my interest in the rest of the series, thus sending me to GOG, and overall sparked a curiosity for older RPGs, something that a lot of recent reboots of old games couldn't muster up nowadays! I should really go back and finish the first one...

Oh, and what's so hard about configuring GK 3? I haven't played it, so what's all the hubub, bub?
I have no horse in this race as I've only played FO 1 till now. Soon to be FO 2 (thanks again). All I know is people are mighty passionate between FO 3 and NV and which one is their favorite and why the other sucks. I'll try them out one day and decide for myself at that point but I'm guessing I will like both. FO Tactics too even though its a different kind of game from what I've read.

I was silly wasting my time with MMO's back in the day when a lot of these games were popular. So to that end, glad I found GOG and Steam so I can discover them on my own time.

Oh, Fallout 3 is pretty great. It's just that before patching the ending not only sucked, it didn't even make fuckin' sense. Hell, it didn't even make nonsense. As for GK3, I don't have a clue why it's so hard to get to work.

I'm one of those weird people who like all the Fallout games, including Tactics. Well, I think there was, like, a Playstation shooter I never played.

It's also nightmare of bugs. Even with all the patches, it's still a miracle that it works (but that can be said of any Bethesda game, really). And yeah, I try not to think about the ending. I just pretend that it came with Broken Steel all along and never really ended with three fucking mid-level mooks guarding a machine that makes the whole game end abruptly...nope, mhm, didn't happen. One of my all-time favorite games, though!

It was an "action-rpg" on the PS2.. Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel

I must say I had some fun (for a short time) playing co-op with a friend, but it gets tired fast, and isn't really Fallout.

The bigger problem with the ending was that you had to enter this radiocactive chamber to turn it off. Which would kill you. And you had a Supermutant with you who could do the job with no danger. But no, not possible. That is just shitty shitty writing.

Yeah, the Broken Steel add-on redacts that and lets you make some of your allies take your place (like ghouls, the super mutant, and a robot). However, since Broken Steel also let's the game continue, even if you go in the chamber, it kind of makes it useless...but still cool :D
