What most do is saying first to quote you get's the code. thus bots is neutralized

Who? Where has it been shown that the person really uses a bot? I know many have speculated, but I didn't think anyone really admitted it.

You can always check the ninja giveaway thread for methods of giving the keys such as asking for a pm or quote and bots won't get them.

One guy did admit it back in ninja giveaway thread. Can't remember his name though.

Personally, I add some extra letters in there to throw the bots off.

Can't remember the thread, but at least one Russian guy openly admitted using a bot, and I remember he said he uses it for "purposes that will help make GOG safer" or some other crap

Yeah but even a lack of good english it is not hard to say thx or thanks. It's just one word.

Yeah It stinks that someone would use a bot to snatch up codes but thats just in the minority of users...

Thought you could always Give the code to the first person that replies to a give away post (In a pm to that user) it could help on dealing with something like that.

It kinda sucks that the gifter has to go though all those hoops just to give a game, though. People are unfunny at times.

And bots? Cheaters, all of them.

Cheaters will have all kind of reasons. In the end cheaters are cheaters.

Parodical way of saying "their English isn't good enough", I'm quite sure.

why bother posting codes in public threads then if people cheat?

Tbh cheaters are only few in number. But they ruin it for all of us.

obviously it just won't happen and there's always at least two, the master and the apprentice :)
but anyway making a standard lottery giveaway is much more reasonable if you don't want the cheaters to ruin it for others.
