fairly odd thing that is.
I logon to my computer, with the actual intention of playing Team Fortress 2 again, with some buddies of work, and they disable my account.
I wonder why..
Woah, nasty stuff. Have you asked them what the go is?
His profile pic is him nude, duh.

Yeah, I imagine that's the reason. :P
1. I have emailed support, and this was just recently done, within like the past few minutes, because I was just on steam.
2. if there was an issue with a profile pic they just delete it, don't be stupid.
3. I'm assuming it has something to do with some gifting reason, because that's all I ever did with it was receive gifts.

What exactly do you mean? I'm pretty sure that on Steam, if a gift doesn't clear, the gifted game itself will just be removed and you'll still be able to play your other games. I think you had two Steam accounts, so which one was it?
And now you know you know what it feels like.

Any fraudulent credit card use, credit card chargebacks, or Paypal chargebacks (regardless of when the transaction occurred).

Redeeming Fraudulent Gifts
Never accept a gift from an unknown user. Any accounts tied to a redeemed gift from a fraudulent source will be permanently disabled.

I never committed payment fraud, and I never thought any of my gifts were fraudulent. I thought they were all 100% ok, but who knows now? and it's my main one, Weclock.

Steam, the DRM assholes.

I guess you're smart enough to only get gifts from people you know and trust, so that's weird. I'd just wait for the Steam guys to give a reply, no matter how stupid and bullshit the reply will turn out to be.
Watch, it will be something like:
"The games are pirated/hacked"
"Fake identification or so was used."
"We just hate you, you cheap bastard."

I remember someone not long ago posted here mentioning a disabled Steam account and it turned out to be some Valve error. The guy got his account back pretty fast.
Maybe it's just some lame mistake on their part.

Wec, were you one of the people I gave minigolf to? Maybe this is the start of an elaborate revenge scheme
This is why I only use Steam when it's really an absolute necessity, for instance when playing PvZ or Zeno Clash. The difference between Steam and GOG/Impulse is that when using Steam, the feeling you get is like someone's breathing down your neck all the time. Sure the games are tied to your account and you can access them on any PC with Steam, but it's like having some invisible entity peeping at you all the time. Well that is if you're not religious, but that's another story altogether.
Sorry to hear about your account Wec. I'm really hoping developers like Zeno Clash's Ace Team will start porting their games over to Impulse instead of using crappy Steam. Unfortunately, the majority of Steam users will never acknowledge how shitty it is because this is still an isolated case anyway. It will never be recognized as a pervasive problem as long as it's not consistently spreading.

PvZ can be bought from Popcap themselves without Steam, you know.
