In an undemocratic country like Singapore with only one real party ... I wouldn't bet that voting gets you anywhere.

Aliasalpha: They can force steam to not sell in the country though, trust me there's a lot of that happening here

Hmmm, maybe I'll get the pre-order now. If they ban it on Steam, I'll raise hell.
They banned HL2(violence), and Mass Effect(lesbian scenes) before only to lift the ban later. I'll be damned if I get the Steam version now and then boxed set later on. Decisions, decisions...

You got that right :(
I better stop with this one post. I have too many things under my bed that it'd be impossible for me to hide there should you-know-who start breaking down my door.

The new MOH has been banned from entrance into Iraq/Afghan because of the whole Taliban thing.... I feel your pain man......

cw8: Mass Effect(lesbian scenes)

Uh, what the ...
Where are these scenes, and how do I access them.

Gundato: .....
So it could probably be solved if a censored version of the game were released. Of course, it is questionable as to why porn mags were used in the first place, but whatever.

Considering the game was designed for a mature audience from the start - and the fact that the player actually mimics being in the Mafia - the devs were probably thinking the player should be able to handle the nude female form artistically presented if they can handle that level of violence.
They'll probably do something similar to "The Witcher" and have a censored version. For those that may be offended with the nudity, they should have a simple toggle in the game options to "black bar" the key parts. This would make all happy.

Female Shepard and Liara.
Admittedly, Liara is technically from a species of only females (baby-factories), so it is arguable.
Yeah and don't blink or you'll miss it

trusteft: Isn't Singapore the country where chewing gum is forbidden?
And you worry about Mafia 2?

I remember reading somewhere people bring in a boxes of the stuff from Malaysia anyway, it's just the retail selling of gum that's banned.
And you could probably smuggle in a copy of mafia 2 by concealing it in a bag of cocaine

"I'm here to kick ass and chew bubble gum...
And I can't buy bubble gum."

I'm way past the minimum voting age and I can't and never voted before. My zone has no opposition competition at all.
Even if the opposition wins, our Emperor says he will activate the military, which is us since all males have to go through 2 1/2 years(2 years now) of military service.

Another freedom loving Asian democracy.
I wish you (the people) well.
One of the features Steamworks offers to publishers is the ability to forbid access to a game in areas where it is banned; if that's the case for this game not even importing/gifting would help.
If all else fails I guess you could buy a retail copy and then crack it so you can actually use it... :/

To make matters worse, your government's stupidity has a roll-on effect for New Zealand as well. For instance Risen was banned in Australia, so you can't buy it on Steam here despite it not being banned--it got a valid NZ rating and retail releases for both PC and 360.

So...all of this crap going on in your country, and a game is what you complain about?
Dude...MOVE. :)
