Btw, did this game have that lock-thingie so that one cannot play the game before the official launch date has passed? I got an email from my shop that they have mailed the game to me, so It'll be in my possession tomorrow. But isn't the europe launch date 11th day?

If I have the game tomorrow, can I play it or not?
Man if i had a badass pc I would play all of Skyrim, DA2 and TW2 because they all look awesome.

I don't understand all the DA hate in genaral, Yes it was kinda of a bad idea for someone at Bioware to say that DA is a spirtual sucessor to Baldur's Gate because then people will start wanting something excactly like Baldur's Gate not something similar. That being said some of the haters are stupid, if you want a game that plays excatly like Baldur's Gate, go out and play Baldur's Gate cause the only game that is ever going to be excactly like Baldur's Gate is infact Baldur's Gate.

*rant over*

Yes release date check. Those that have already pre-loaded it have found it doesn't even have an exe. Additionally it seems the reason the game is only 7GB is size is the high res textures are not in the base game, we have to download them seperately. The Dumbest anti-piracy idea I have heard yet. Well they aren't call it that but it's pretty bloody obvious.

bansama: What exactly was the point of this topic?
I dunno...just for fun I guess?

I am generally apathetic towards DA2, especially considering how much hype is surrounding it at the moment, I really hope for the best and that people will like it, but me? I dunno, I just dont care

So I quickly made a picture to illustrate that

Apparently though, I never mentioned in this thread neither Skyrim or The Witcher 2 and yet people were quick to call me a "Fanboy" and how intolerant I am, oh the irony

Some of the people on this board really need to lighten up lol

Making a thread to bash a game you claim to have no interest in is exactly the actions of a fanboy. You are making this thread for a bit of fun at everyone else's expense and that's what get's people annoyed. We already have a perfectly good DA2 thread where we are discussing it yet you felt the need to make another thread with some stupid meme just to get the point across that you don't care about the game.

This isn't your personal blog for your own entertainment.

Fernando Melo, who is probably the nicest guy around in that mad house btw, said that they didn't manage to finish the hr textures before locking and sending the game out for certification, thus the separate download for the textures.

Edit: It seems the HR pack is already available for download

Edit2: Yep, linky

Yeah I read that, still sounds a little dodgy though. If they distribute them through regular channels (filefront, gamershell etc) I would believe them but i've been told you can only download through the BioWare site using your EA login which is what makes me a little suspicious.

Edit: Looks like you don't have to log in. Fair enough then. As you know I don't usually like to bash BioWare ;)
