Perhaps you should study this stuff, not as a full-time career or anything, but just put in little time on the internet to show how ridiculous these theories are.

My GF drives me crazy when she starts talking about this shadow planet that supposedly hides from our telescopes and it's supposed to be on the same orbit as Earth and that the inhabitants are evil and they feed on our collective negative emotions....

I have no idea. All I know is that she read it in one of those magazines where they write about aliens, the Illuminati and how they are going to implant chips in everyone, etc. etc.

Short explanation:

According to some nutcases, there is a parallel planet on the Earth's orbit that houses some evil species that cultivates all the bad crap that happens here in order to feed on the negative emotions caused by said baid crap.

Please note that she is relatively sane if I keep her away from those magazines, but once she reads one I have to let her talk it out of her system...
