I kind of like it. The female voice, at least. :p

Aaron86: Finally. Someone is taking the initiative of informing our children about LGBT issues.
Finally? This ran right through the seventies and eighties.

orcishgamer: Lol, so awesome.
That's the only way to describe it.

Yep. The BBC didn't realise just how progressive they were being. Then of course when it finally dawned on them in the 90s the show was canned. But it had a good innings.

Don't forget Captain Pugwash which is still to this day a quote factory for gay men. Seaman Stains... FFS!!

There was no Seaman Stains, unfortunately. It was an urban legend. There was a Master Mate and a Willy though. But the cabin boy was called Tom.

It's become like religion. Yes it never happened but now people believe in Seaman Stains, Master Bates and Roger the Cabin Boy.

I had to look up the names of the actual characters. I didn't have to look up the alternate names. That says it all really.
Why did I watch all of that?

orcishgamer: You guys are lightweights. There's so many kid's shows that are horribly worse:)

Navagon: Whereas Rainbow was a lot better. Only on Children's BBC would you find a show about a gimp, a furry and a gay transvestite.
Sorry, old bean, but Rainbow was not a CBBC show, it was CITV.
Also, contrary to popliar opinion, this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kclq2zGQy4w "episode" never aired - it was an end-of-filming staff party only.
Keep plucking away with your twanger!

I never said it was aired. I never even mentioned that episode. Which makes it even stranger that you think I'm convinced it was aired. It's a well known fact (by those who know it exists at all) that it was never aired.

So why the straw man? Wouldn't a snowman be more appropriate right now?
New episodes are up now (and totally legal):

Only watch FiM, not the other stuff. For your own sake.
