DCC was over the weekend and it was a blast, I didn't make it to Friday 'cause the line was too long to get in but Sat & Sun were buckets of fun.

.... and I am so fucking tired right now; here is the imgur gallery for all the picture I took.

Looks like you had a blast! :DDD
it was actually my first con; Sunday was what I was expecting from a large (but not SDCC) scale con, but Saturday was crushed.

at its peak, the line to get in / claim your badge was so long it circled the entire convention center twice and this is how big it is: http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3320/4581235829_ce8768c353_z.jpg

I honestly was more excited to see the other fans (and their costumes) than I was to see any of the celebrities, it was a shit ton of nerds carving out a corner of the universe for a weekend.

the two highlight shots for me were Dad Who and his Dalek kid / Oscar the Grouch yelling a full sized remote controlled reproduction of R2-D2.
Well that certainly explains why Link and Zelda were on the bus with me Friday night!

I wish I'd known about this ComicCon sooner so I could have made plans to take my kids. I'll have to keep aneye out for the next one.

I that is basically what I did last year; found out about it on Sunday when it was too late.
Great pictures, thanks for sharing them. The two Ghostbusters guys and Oscar the Grouch were awesome. The Stan Lee lookalike made me crack a big smile.

But the absolutely coolest has to be the little Captain America in the shot with Iron Man and War Machine.

Nice pics. I want to go to a Comic Con someday.
Is it just me or was this Con less visited than others before it? At least it looks much less crowded on the photos than I remember from previous Comic Cons. Wasn't it usually hard to even move around because there were so many people in the past years? So, did the visitor numbers drop? Or did they just move to a much bigger location so that the crowd disperses more?

Most of these pictures were from Sunday, which was the lowest attendee, Saturday was absolutely flooded.

I don't know about last year, since this was my first, but Saturday was totally sold out by 10am.
Are you planning to go next year? :)

I'm going to San Diego Comic Con next month so that should be fun. :D

Hell yeah, if I could I would walk out of work right now if it was still going.

Have fun at SDCC :)

There are many times I have felt like leaving work and going to the convention center, especially when they have those beer conventions. I work, literally right down the street. Infact you can see the doors from my bosses office, which is why I can never go. Stupid adult responsibilites!

Ah, OK. So business as usual. :-) Thanks for the reply!

Just invite your boss to go with you. If he's there himself he can't complain about you going there.
