Ah, yet another problem.
Apparently the Steam servers are too busy for me to be allowed to download the game.
Given that it is 8GB, and I could really do with downloading it overnight since my connection will be rubbish by mid-morning tomorrow, this is a slight problem for me.
This is one of the reasons we are unlikely to move away from DVDs or equivalent physical storage media.
[edit] got it working, after a couple of tries... speed seems okay.

I can understand not liking Steam but this seems more than a bit much. It's a free game for god's sake.

Andy_Panthro: I have a general dislike of Steam, and vowed never to use it again since I finished HL2 some time ago. However, a free game (especially one as highly praised as this) is a tough one to pass up!
Any thoughts?

Do not use it, sell it instead, and buy something else.

Or, he could just pass it off to me. I don't have too much against Steam at the moment.
*hint* *hint* No, in all seriousness just download the game.
Sell it to someone if you don't want it, or find someone with a retail copy who doesn't mind trading.
high rated
I have a dilemma very similar to this. I just received a $50 bill as a gift. Problem is I can 't stand the thought of being acquainted with anything that endorses Ulysses S Grant or his likeness. I just plain don't like the dude.
Any thoughts?

oh wait, i'm not in the US...
Well I have to say, if anyones thinking of getting Batman, I'd recommend it. Not sure if it's quite as good as the reviews say, but I haven't got very far yet.
One of my first forays into stereoscopic 3D, and it works really well. (mind you Batman does look very good as normal, so I'm sure that does help!)
I did get a bit of a headache after an hour of playing though, which is a bit of a shame. Not sure if I'll get used to it. I was wondering about those new 3D films though, if I get a headache after 1hr, then a normal film (at least 90mins), wouldn't be very good. Thankfully you can switch the 3D vision on and off very easily.
...Really? PLAY THE FUCKING THING! It was a good game, I think it was a little overrated. But it still is the best comic licensed game.

I expect they're trying to aim for the youth market...
Does anybody still buy the Guinness Book of World Records anyway?
