Normally I don't plug other stuff especially since I'm a film maker and photographer as well as an artist and to be honest... Nearly every single deaf related film production I have seen has been... Embarrassing.

By that I mean... Sometimes the idea can be great. Sometimes the cinematography can be pretty clever. Whatever, but they nearly always use a shitty camera or just have NO FUCKING IDEA HOW TO EDIT AT ALL. *cringe* I've been trying to do better for a long time but finally, FINALLY I have a 'role model' to try and beat.

Yes, it's an ad. But the quality and everything is SUPERB.

In case you don't know - sign is NOT universal. And areas do have accents (dialects) thus the Melbourne in joke - this film is located in Sydney, Australia. Now go and enjoy! :)

I have to admit the guy at dinner was a dick just because your hearing doesnt mean you can't understand a deaf joke, that was rude of him not to even attempt an explanation. On Hannahs side of it I don't think she was fair in explaining how being deaf has its own community and way of life, and thus not preparing daniel for what to expect, Though he was arrogant to think that there is ONLY the hearing community so both are at fault. All in All great videos Thanks for sharing!

Not really when he walks up to Hannah its sounds like shes talking to her deaf brother I'll rewatch it. But I believe you are correct :D There is a similar service here in the US Sorrenson I believe is the name of the company, though they are more Video Communication rather then a relay service.
