1999: Clinic - Porno

2000: Eels - Flyswatter

2001: Sparklehorse - King of Nails

2002: Polysics - Domo Arigato Mr. Roboto

2003: Mogwai - Hunted by a Freak

2004: Man Man - 10lb Moustache

[EDIT] Here's an extra 2004 music video by a portuguese band: Dead Combo - Cacto (I'm aware it says 2005 at the end of the video, but the album came out in 2004 and the video started airing in November/December 2004. One track of this album, Eléctrica Cadente, was used on Alan Wake.)

One did occur to me, actually. Enigma's Remember the Future from 2001. There's some technical limits, but the art direction and style more than make up for it. Sadness and Principles of Lust are particular favorites from the compilation.

langurmonkey: I wonder if I'm the only person who thinks, Tool music videos are pure insanity.
Probably you would be alone...Pure insanity would probably be Nine Inch Nails - Closer or any Marylyn Manson Video.
I still think one of the best videos is One - Metallica

Just such an impact in those scenes.

Do love the Tool videos as well however.

Great Song and Video. The first video by Metallica, if I am not mistaken, despite three previous albums. It was recognized in some award shows, not sure if it won any awards.

I am cheating a bit since this is from 2005, but the song in it is a remix of a song from 2001 so it kind of counts:

Foo Fighters videos were always pretty entertaining. Learn to Fly (1999)

My favorite video of theirs is from 1997 so it doesn't qualify but i want to post it anyway :P

timppu: Sorry I didn't check from which years these are, but:

Window Licker (1999) (if you can watch this from start to finish without your brains exploding at least a couple of times... well, good for you, I guess)

Sabotage (1994) (most full length action movies don't have as much action as this one small music video!!!)

And this one always makes one smile and gets you in a good mood:

Sexy Eis (1996)

EDIT: Added years. So "Sabotage" and "Sexy Eis" were older than I remembered.
Wow great posts! I had almost forgotten about Windowlicker (perfect blend of creepy and hilarious) and Sabotage is an easy all time classic.

High Voltage

Dance Commander

Gay Bar

tinyE: I'm an admitted VH1 Classic addict myself. If that was the only channel I got I'd still be a happy guy.
I watched some VH1 a couple weeks ago and realised several of the "classics" they were playing were considered "annoyingly crappy pop" in the late 90's and early 00's.

Are we talking about the same channel? There is a VH1 and a VH! Classic. Classic doesn't play much of anything after '94. Most of it's 80s with some 60s, 70s, and a touch of 90's grunge.

Likely not (and there may very well be regional differences). But whatever I watched has been a lot better when I've watched it earlier, and does sometimes play early and pre-90's music too.
