I'm sorry but not supporting it has nothing to do with the fact that it's still copyrighted software. Distributing it without prior permission from Microsoft is illegal and considered piracy and copyright infringement.

Its sorta like abandonware. not legal but no one cares enough to make a big deal out of it.

Some legal ways to get'em:
- Subscribe to an MSDN plan (no less than 700 dollars a year, I think) with Microsoft
- Harvest the still available mint copies (at least for MS-DOS 6.22) on eBay and Amazon. I've gone through this some years ago so I'm full for now :-P
Some "illegal" ways to get'em (vive la piraterie, arrrhhh!):
- Download from P2P sites
- Search for Vetusware and you're good to go in minutes.
Personally I suggest Vetusware, if you don't want to bother with e-commerce et all.

And even if a company stops selling a product, that doesn't somehow not make copyright laws not apply to it, most countries a copyright lasts until 50 years after the original author dies, and at that point it doesn't matter if anyone is selling it.

I thought that only gave you access to fairly recent software...
I should have drivers for it somewhere, you'll have to wait a few hours though as I got to work just an hour ago, and have the whole day left until I get home again. I know I have been able to surf the web in VMWare which I'm pretty sure uses the same drivers.

I don't think there's any legal issues in redistributing the drivers, so here you go. A zip file containing two things: a floppy image with the driver (for easy use with VMWare) and a folder with the same files (for easy copying to a real floppy to transfer to another computer).
Now, I've only tried this driver in Windows for Workgroups 3.11 which is said to be a bit more network friendly than the version not called "for Workgroups", so depending on what you have there might be a few blind steps before you get to where you want to.
My copy of Win3.1 seem to be missing files, so I have a hard time installing it to try out and remind myself exactly how to install that driver and get online.

From doing some googling it looks like the WinSock app you're talking about is TCP32B.EXE and PW1118.EXE. Is that correct?
OK, so I'm trying to install it and it says I need "PCNTND.DOS". I googled it and I can download it from AMD website, but there are three versions. Which one do I need?
I used the one from "MS-Lan-man" cause that's what I saw other people using, hopefully it worked, I'll let y'all know in just a little bit :)
IT WORKED!!! I decided to use Netscape Navigator 4.07 cause I heard it was good for an old computer like this. If any of you have a better suggestion I'd be glad to hear it! :)
Now one last thing and I'll stop bothering y'all. How can I figure out what sound card I have? I can't find any kind of system info thing. Maybe I'm just not looking hard enough :)

Looks like you may have found it, but Trumpet Winsock. I know it was necessary for PPP connections, we didn't have cable modems in those days (imagine)!
