Ink is pretty interesting and weird... Glad to see that some real movies here, even if it's only from a small production company.
These movies getting praised got me interested. Wishlisted for now, so I don't forget about them :D
Wow, a film release that interests me!

But yes, subtitles would be nice. It's incredibly rare for DVD releases (here at least) not to have subtitles, so why should it be different for films here?

I didn't have time to watch The Frame yet (i already bought the signed BluRay though) but Ink was a great Indie gem. So if you're open for unusual stories and Indie movies, you should give them a chance, at least Ink was one of the best Indie movies I've ever seen. They are no Hollywood AAA productions, so don't expect that kind of movies or you might be a bit disappointed :).

Btw. it's nice to see that these two movies came to gog. In fact I wrote them a mail and asked them to put their movies and gog.com and it seems it happned. I guess I should buy them again here ;). So theres just 11:59 missing here, I hope this movie will be available here as well sooner or later.

silalus: Ink was an astounding movie, one of the most extraordinary, imaginative films I've seen in years. I would rank it with Pan's Labyrinth, or maybe even beyond it. It's a triumphant execution of "show don't tell" in filmmaking.
Right? I am blown away every time by that first face-off scene - no spoilers, so let me just call it the first nighttime altercation. It is one of the best examples of brilliant budget film work I've ever seen.

Bits of the piano score from INK - also written by Jamin Winans - turned up in big-picture trailers for a year or so around the time the film came out. There is so much that's done right in this movie. Though, lest I be guilty of spreading false expectations, it is a very indie film, and that is very wildly obvious throughout.

Ah, finally some more real movies, not documentaries.

I have seen Ink, which was interesting at first. Visually quite interesting, but the style gets old rather quickly.
After viewing this oppressive movie this is how it comes across to me:
The director and other members of the creative team had a brainstorm together with the following question:
What would be cool in a movie?
The ideas allowing for the most impressive visuals and simply to have fun acting have been picked and inserted into the script. The result is an experience with a lot of emotional crescendi, visual wows to give the visual fx something fun to do and many mysterious rituals and people acting important. What it lacks is coherence and the courage to leave things out that do not fit well into the story, however impressive they might have appeared to be as a single scene.

The trailer for Frame has interesting imagery cut together in a jarring way If you don't know whether you are an epileptic susceptible to rapid alternations of dark and light images, you * will * know it after looking at the trailer.

Finally you have a real movie on. I've been telling you to get these guys on board since you started GOG Movies. Took you long enough.

Now lets see how you fair getting some classics. You can start from black and white titles not readily available anymore but may still have licenses (e.g., The Thing From Another World. I recall seeing a technicolor/"colorized" version too). You do that and working your way through their (Universal's?) other licenses might not be so difficult.

Looking forward to seeing more of what you can do. We have enough college projects on here as it is. There are much better indie games that you rejected that would have made it easily if they were posted around the time as those movies, back when any game was a step forward.

I absolutely agree, the trailer for The Frame is hardly watchable in my opinion, which really makes me wonder if it's worth picking up... The plot seems interesting enough though. Maybe just wait what the weekend brings... I'll probably pick up Ink anyway, all the goshing about its greatness really made me curious :)
