It probably was developed for that amount of cash (~$150k at the time). Less than a month after launch, the developers said that they couldn't support it at all and that they knew it had severe faults.

Maybe it includes the cost of the shuttle ticket.

According to the source of all wisdom, Stormrise was universally panned. Pricing it at 10000 euros HAS to be a joke... unless, maybe, this site is selling the super-ultimate-rare good copy of the perfect game, which was deemed unworthy of being released to commoners.

The prices above are clearly unintentional, but this one is not. See the attached picture for the frightening total.

The game does seem to be targeted at model train collectors and believe me, spending about $500 for a collection like that is nothing to them. They would easily spend $500 on a single train.

Specialist software is always like that, seen a few hardcore tank sims that are remarkably expensive just because the market is so small

Railworks is even more overpriced when you consider that there is an alternative, trainz, that has a very active modding community that produces pretty much the same stuff as the Railworks paid addons, only free.
