anamorphic: Not seen Arrow yet (recording it though, only just started airing over here few days ago), but not much there for comparison. Two different comics /shows. Besides which, The Avengers made 1.5 billion or something, so if I was a betting man...
There will only be guest appearences of the Avengers in the show. The main cast will probably be some 3rd class heroes...

I know, but it should get a lot of eyeballs. We shall see. ;)
shameless bump to see if there are people out there who want to discuss new TV shows :P

...I rarely watch TV.

Only series I would watch is Game of Thrones, and mabye The Walking Dead but sadly I did not watch them from the beginning so watching them now will get me lost.

Game of Thrones is currently at ~30 episodes, with 2 left for the season to end. You have about 10 months to be able to watch it, and read the books. I'd say go for it.

You can watch all of the episodes on HBO GO. If you have HBO, I think HBO GO doesn't cost much more. On the other hand, if you don't watch much shows, it may still not be worth it.

Anyway, GoT isn't that great. Especially this season - festival of boredom.

I am a traditionalist, I have HBO on my Television and I don't have a tablet for HBO GO and not want to.
Haven't seen too many of the new shows coming. Will have to give Hollow a look, and as long as Dracula is more like Bram Stoker and nothing at all like twilight I will be watching.
Almost Human is not a new show is it? I thought Syfy has been running that show for like 2 or 3 seasons.
Network TV is getting better with shows like Hannibal, but could never get as good as the cable networks.

DarkoD13: I don't know what to think of Jonathan Rhys Meyers as Dracula...
He was pretty good as Henry VIII in whatever that series was called. Just hope it's not another twilight clone.

You may watch HBO GO on your computer. Or on your decoder, if it's supported (you should ask your cable provider)

and you can of course plug in your PC to the television.

you are mistaking it with Being Human

Long story short - Almost human is pretty much like I, Robot but serialised.

Yes I am mistaken. I was confusing it with Being Human. I Robot, I will have to give that one a look.

here's the trailer video (the other link was deleted)

by the way, I share your views about Dracula. I really really hope the main character will have abilities to turn into a bat, a mist, to hypnotize people etc etc. ;-) I need classic vampires so badly.

There's an upcoming show with Dracula? If so, what's the name? As long as vampires don't sparkle like in Twilight I'll enjoy it. :P

Anyway, I found this a couple of days ago: 10 new Summer shows

I'm personally looking forward to Graceland, In The Flesh (first zombie fiction I'll enjoy), Ray Donovan, Orange is the New Black and possibly Under the Dome but that one specifically looking like it's too mainstream and I'm also waiting for the return of Burn Notice, Dexter, The Newsroom, Covert Affairs, Suits and Franklin & Bash starting sometime in the summer.

I'm currently waiting for True Blood to finish since I figure 6 seasons in I might as well until it's done, does anyone have any news regarding its future?

I watched the trailer of Almost Human, looks too much like Continuum to be honest. Too many cops, too little technology but I'll probably end up watching at least season 1.

I just watched the trailer. It looks awesome! Typical victorian era when electricity is on the brink of realization coupled with wars and politics in Europe.

I watched the trailer of The Blacklist too, looks good enough.

I forgot to mention this one: Intelligence

Coming this fall, techy spy action starring Josh Holloway from Lost. It doesn't like look much is new to the genre but Josh Holloway is a great actor and I'm hoping down the line they will deviate from typical spy fiction but first impression is good.

The Blacklist has Spader in it, so it has to be good :P
