Zeewolf: Hey, the choice between CD & floppy version of the Gobliins trilogy _is_ a pretty awesome bonus. Good stuff, GOG.

What is the difference between both versions?

Danda: What is the difference between both versions?

It is really a nostalgic thing. The music is different, for instance. But the main difference is the speech. In the floppy version it is weird gibberish, while the CD version has real speech. I remember the gibberish as a big part of the whole (slightly surreal) experience.
Oh cool, that is a great bonus. I kind of liked the charm of the gibberish, so I was wary of buying the version without it. No worries now.
I didn't recognize some of the music, and after checking out the Amiga version, it seems the PC Floppy version has some extra music that the Amiga version doesnt have. In Gobliins 2, for example, The first screen has a tune that doesn't exist on the Amiga version, which plays the same tune from the second screen. I also found the PC floppy music to be more gentle, while the Amiga is more straight-in-your-face, soundwise. I gotta say, nostalgia leads me to prefer the Amiga version, but the PC floppy is still great, as it's almost identical to the Amiga version. Only different/extra music and a different sound between them.
Really awesome as always, especially Gobliins stuff. Definitely buying it now. Thanks sirs. :)
I had been disappointed we didn't have a weekend deal, this week, but the new freebies make up for it. )
By the way, having both versions available for Goblins is definitely kick-ass. Way to go, GOG! )

Yes, the Amiga version has much less different tunes, 5-7 if I remember correctly. But some of them were completely different and really AWESOME, since the Amiga was capable of much better music samples than MIDI could offer at the time.
You can hear all of the tunes in this Longplay:

Skip to 0:24:00 to hear the awesome dream world music, one of my favorites from the amiga version.
WOW! I realy did not expect the gobblins floppy version to ever become available. A real surprise. Thanks
It seems I am late to the party, but many thanks for the floppy versions of Goblins! You people rock.
Thankyou!!! Very glad to have the Gobliiins floppy versions. :)
And I, thankful but unsophisticated rodent that I am, like having more eyecandy for Advent Rising. I collect wallpapers :D
Thanks GOG, these kind of things make the difference.
Keep on this way :)
Finally sold the Gobliiins pack to me.
Hopefully GOG updates the product page with the information regarding floppy versions being available as well as the CD ones...
