I wonder why GOG can't get more games from a developer/publisher which is already here. I mean we've got Blood 1+2 and Shogo here, so why can't we get another games by Monolith?

The list is pretty impressive:

BTW, bonus question: has anyone tried running Claw (Captain Claw) on Win 8? The game is still available in Poland (last retail copies) for about 10$, but compatibility may be an issue. I played it on Vista some years ago, it worked fine. I owned 3 times a copy of Claw, each time selling it later... Now it's time to buy it for the 4th time! :)

Wasn't Captain Claw released as freeware or something?
I vaguely recall something like being able to download the ISO from a Polish site.

NOLF is stuck in a rights mess.

Courtesy of gregorysuarez via the wishlist.

I recently chatted with Craig Hubbard, who worked at Monolith during the NOLF era. He is now with Blackpowder Games developing Betrayer. I asked about the status of NOLF, and this is what he wrote:

"I'm not at all a biz guy, so take this with a boulder of salt, but my understanding was that Monolith owned the IP and Fox owned the name. Monolith was bought by WB, obviously, and Fox was bought by Sierra/Vivendi which was bought by Activision/Blizzard, which I seem to remember recently had some kind of divorce from Vivendi, so it would most likely take more lawyers than I want to invite into my imagination to sort it all out.

Aside from Shogo, every property I worked on became mired in ownership confusion. Blood and FEAR eventually got sorted out, so maybe it's possible NOLF will someday become available again. Perhaps."

If anyone from GOG is reading this, maybe this can be a starting point to pulling this amazing series out of limbo.

NOLF's legal rights are a mess. Nobody knows who currently owns the rights to the games. As for the rest of the games, I think they are not available here because they were actually published by Monolith, and Monolith is currently owned by Warner Bros.

Is it published by Monolith here? Nope and even originally, it was not exclusively published by Monolith, with Microids handling the game's European release.

I can't tell you anything about Win 8 compatibility, what I can tell you is that the setup.exe is incompatible with 64-bit systems. I just tried it in order to answer your question and it wouldn't even let me install the game. Same story for Get Medieval. I guess I either need to hold on to my old Vista 32-bit rig or accept that another two games of my collection have bitten the dust. :(
